For dogs that remain indoors: Place the Absorbz Everyday Convenience Pad on the floor with the colored side down. Dispose of the pad in a trash can when it gets soiled, replacing with a new one in the same place. For housebreaking puppies: Place the Absorbz Everyday Convenience Pad where the puppy goes first. Place your puppy on the pad and let him smell the scent. Each day, move the pad a little closer towards the door and every time the puppy uses the pad, tell him what a good dog he is, with a gentle petting and a sweet voice. When your puppy goes to use the pad that is now next to the door, open the door and drag the pad outside and let the puppy go on the pad or on the ground. Tell him how good he is, whether he goes on the pad or on the ground. Remove the pad once he gets the idea. A pad can always be placed inside when your dog is alone at home.
