Honoring her deceased Uncle Tobias, Dr Maggie Richards moves to Love, Alaska to re-open his much-needed medical practice. Arriving in Anchorage, Maggie finds herself in the middle of 'Operation Love' tourists - people arriving from all over the world hoping to find their one true love. The annual festival for singles attracts participants like lovebirds who migrate to find their true north. At the airport, Maggie meets the pilot who will take them to Love and recognizes him as her childhood friend, Finn O'Rourke. In town, Maggie and Finn meet with a lawyer who tells them the clinic needs to open as soon as possible and Tobias's will leaves sizable inheritances to both of them. Finn's inheritance, will only come if he helps Maggie rebuild the clinic. Neither of them is interested in this arrangement. Finn has finally booked his ticket to escape to California; Maggie is happy to be on her own. Soon, Finn realizes that all the years he spent serving in the military put the responsibility of the family flight business on his brother, Declan. The inheritance would help Finn make up for that, erase Declan's debts and save the business. When Maggie sees the dilapidated state of the clinic, she accepts Finn's assistance so it can be ready for patients sooner. Declan is happy that Finn can save the business but truly thrilled that Finn is spending time with Maggie. Maggie sees the PTSD that Finn deals with as a result of his military service and he eventually accepts help from a therapist. Meanwhile, Maggie is convinced to get to know her community by participating in the Operation Love events, whcih she does When Declan helps Finn work through old family hurts, Finn finally feels he can stop leaving. Maggie opens her medical practice to great success. Maggie and Finn finally find each other.
