I used a thin film of plastic wrap on the pin before embossing the dough. The image comes out fine.

Don't mess up the pin with oil. It doesn't come with directions. Use a cookie dough recipe with enough flour in it.

It might also work on pie crust. I did not try that. But I might. Just a unique addition to my baking cookie time.

Package came with damaged handle. These things happen. Wood is not that great of quality but for the price I guess it's fine. To me it's more of just a cute decoration to put up for people to see. Contact with Seller when asking for a return is not going very well. There is no communication after 48 hours but this has nothing to do with product review. Update! Seller has agreed to send a replacement. Only time will tell.

Product is not as pictured--pattern is different than pictured and also distorted, i.e. the circles are flattened ovals. not worth the wait/time spent.

The roller I received was similar but not as pictured. The nice round snowflakes on the roller were oblong/oval on mine. The lovely ribbing on all of the flourishes were completely missing.

The embossing isn't deep enough to hold a print. I tried several times and the design doesn't show after cookies are baked. Total waste of money.

Would not recommend! Nothing like I thought. Cheaply made. Design doesn't transfer like on video! Dont buy!
