FLOOD/PPG FLD6-04 Floetrol Additive (1 Gallon)

Product Description

FLOETROL is a latex paint additive that makes interior and exterior latex or acrylic paint flow and level like oil-based paints while compensating for the adverse effects that weather and surface conditions have on paints and primers. Do not add too much conditioner for vertical surfaces as the technique may cause the paint to sag or vanish. PROTECT FROM FREEZING.

Just started doing acrylic pouring art and this works great. I use a 3-2-1 mix of Floetrol, acrylic pain, and water. (Use just enough water to get consistency like melted ice cream) And shake well before each use! Glad I bought the large jug, cuz this is way fun to play with.

Inconsistent with quality...horrible and watery!

I have ordered this 4 times now and every time It's different. 2 were very clumpy and had to be strained. One was great. This last batch was HORRIBLE!! It had this weird clear liquid on top when I opened it. I had never seen that before. I shook it up in hopes of it being normal to use, but while adding to my paint, I immediately noticed how thin it was. It's like water! Literally that thin! Not sure if I got a batch batch or what. But this is so bad, I cannot use it. I am returning and fingers crossed I get a goid batch this time. This company REALLY need to learn to be consistent and have a more quality product. I may have to find a new paint medium to use for my acrylic pours.

What can you say about Floetrol? It's great. It works. You gotta strain out the lumps, but it makes wonderful cells in your paintings.

Horrible product

When I first opened this, I had a feeling something was off just by the way it looked. There was a weird yellow film at the top that isn't typically there with store bought Floetrol I've used from the same brand. I shook it up and it's still completely watery, and has no thickness at all to it like other Floetrol I have purchased. Would definitely not recommend purchasing from this seller and just buying in store. I think this was a tampered or fake product.

I'd been using the Liquitex product for Acrylic Pouring, but decided to try Flotrol. I'm glad I did. I find it works a bit better and is a better value.

I paint acrylic flow art and this is a necessary ingredient to get the proper consistency to the paint. I have had no problems at all using this product and I am happy with the results that I get.

I received my order very quickly thanks to Fulfillment by Amazon however the additive was very clumpy and difficult to use... product may be old or perhaps stored in adverse temperature.
