Simple modern day loop sling

Bought to replace a 40 year old 1907 sling that had cracked and broken. You do have to search on Magpul's website for install instructions, but once installed it is easy to use being a modern day hybrid of the 1907 & Rhodesian style slings without having to deal with metal hooks. For competition you might still prefer the 1907, but for field use it is quick to get into and helps create a stable shooting platform.

I came upon this sling after some online research, purchased, and installed it on my new rifle. I used the standard front sling swivel, and a Magpul QR swivel at the buttstock. (Didn't want yet ANOTHER single-point unit!)

This sling is soft, quiet, durable, easy to use, and performs even better than expected. Being Magpul, I know that it has been heavily researched, developed, and tested.

I will buy more of these, as needed!

Excellent loop sling

I was trying to figure out my own more usable alternative to the USGI sling. But Magpul came up with it before I did. Obviously, it takes some experimentation to dial it in, but once you're there, it's great. Best sling I own. I have 4, and will probably be buying more as gifts. Can't go wrong with this one.

Installed on a vintage Schmidt-Rubin M1911, which is over 51" long and weighs over 10lbs empty. This RLS makes a HUGE difference in balance and feel when using the integrated forward loop. It does take a few minutes of fine tuning and setting up but I can't think of a single reason to not recommend this strap. Fits perfectly in fixed 1.25" loops and feels both soft and strong at the same time. When passing end through the forward keeper I didn't like the idea of using a screwdriver for fear of picking the fabric but the end can easily be passed through if you pinch both straps together and slide the keeper. For this price point you won't find a more versatile yet simple sling.

Great Value and sling!

Great sling, slings should be simple. No need for all the extra crap you see on alot of them now. Will need to buy attachments if your rifle doesnt already have them.

Does not come with intructions on how to set up. If you need help there is a great video on magpuls website.

Sweet basic sling for rifle. Good quality and adjustments. I plan on using this for my next hunt. I want the option of using sling for offhand shots if needed. I previously used the butler creek ones with the padded shoulder. They were comfortable and didnt slide off your shoulder but I cant utilize the rifle sling for offhand shots.

Good budget sling

I wanted a simple non-padded sling I could easy configure for size and shooting style. I don't carry a rifle all day or all that often so this was a great item to try out this type of sling. I would definitely recommend; if you know more to disagree then you're probably looking to purchase a more expensive sling.

Much more than just a two point sling

What I thought I was getting was a high-quality two point sling... what I actually received was so much more. Magpul has virtually reinvented the two point sling, and I wasn't wrong, it was high quality, however it is extremely well-thought-out and the quick adjustments are simple to deploy.

Purchased this for my Rem 700 LTR after checking various sling options. Even though this sling looks fairly simple you are able to use it as a traditional sling and have the option to go Rhodesian style. As expected from Magpul the quality is very noticeable and they did very well to keep it light but strong.
