While I realize most people buy these collars for a dog or cat, we bought them for our goats! The collars have stood up very well, even when faced with some curious goat nibbles. They are showing a little dirt, but after 5 months in a goat pen, I think they still look pretty great. I'm back to order the 1" size as the girls have grown large enough. For the record, Harriet (Tubman) is wearing the blue collar and Ruth (Bader Ginsburg) is sporting the pink one!

Best Martingale Collar Available!!! (read to learn how to use properly)

This martingale collar is amazing. I enthusiastically recommend this for a dog owner who understands what a martingale collar is and how to use it. I read some reviews of people who are surprised that there is no buckle closure on it or that their dogs got scared when the collar tightened on them too tight and the owner could not get the collar off the panicked dog so they had to cut it off. All of this is because of misuse and misunderstanding of how this collar works. I have found that the Blueberry martingale collars are very adjustable. I got the small for my 9 week old standard poodle puppy and we use it every day for leash walks, and now that she's 14 weeks old it is still in perfect condition and has survived rain, snow, and washings. The proper fit for a martingale is one that you can loosen up to easily slide over your dog's head. When you adjust the collar once on your dog, it should fit so that when tightened (pulling on the D-ring loop) the two adjoining D-rings should close together and *almost* touch. The pros of using this over a traditional buckle collar are that are when the dog pulls, the pressure is not put on their trachea (throat) which can cause injury to your dog. Rather, the martingale distributes the pressure caused by the dog pulling and relieves it from the front of the dog's throat to the back of their neck. So, when used CORRECTLY, this collar is arguably safer for training dogs to walk on a leash. Just don't put any ID tags on it - it's for leash walking only.

If you know that your dog doesn't like when you put on a collar or are unsure if you will be able to have him/her patiently wait for you to adjust the collar, then you can get into a dangerous situation. Please look up pictures or videos of how to properly use these collars so you don't end up hurting your dog, because these collars should never do so. Just make sure you have one with plenty of room to adjust, and Blueberry collars are really adjustable. The quality is incredible, it's relatively inexpensive, and the lavender color I got looks so nice on my poodle pup! Lightweight, durable, easy to clean, comfortable for my pup.

NOT suitable for strong dogs!

This collar broke the second day we had it. My dog was on a lead and he bolted. The stitching holding the center ring that the lead was clipped to came undone, and he escaped. The the picture to see how weak the stitching (and glue) was that held it together.

Love love love this collar!!! I got the purple one and it's so adorable on my Pitbull's solid grey coat. I got a size mediuim for her and she weighs almost 40lbs. It's thick and durable just as I was needing. Will be purchasing from this buyer again!

Got this in the royal blue (Dodger blue for my fellow fans ;-) ) for my golden retriever puppy when he outgrew his cat sized collar. I bought the medium and tightened it all the way when he was smaller (~20-25bs) and it fit well. Fast forward to today, hes 55lbs and it's been loosened about half way and still has room for him to grow. It's held up very well between him always getting wet (if there's water to play in, he finds it), rough housing at the dog park, and recently the beach; it hasn't faded and the color hasn't bled. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again and would highly recommend this collar.

Nice but the material is slippery and it keeps loosening. I have the check it every couple of days and re adjust.*** update ***** 3 months after I purchased this product it has started to unravel. I still need to tighten this every other day and the company responded to my previous comments saying that I installed it incorrectly, but could not show me a proper installation.

I love the quality of Blueberry pet products and these are no exception. I have a 70 lb German Shepherd puppy and they fit him well and are durable. Even though he chews on them after a bath sometimes, they show no signs of wear.

We have been using this collar for various rescue dogs that have found their ways to our house over the past year instead of a regular collar, but it's gotten plenty of use because most of these dogs have had no leash manners at all and will pull and pull and pull on walks.
- It's just a small, basic 3/8 inch collar without any frills and works fantastically.
- The clasp is super strong, doesn't come apart when I try to pull it apart.
- The adjuster doesn't loosen over time, either.
- The only thing that makes it stand out is the "blueberry" tag, which is unobtrusive and looks fine.
- The light blue is pretty accurate to the listing photo and looks nice and fresh.
- We've washed it once or twice without any issue and it still looks brand new.
- No fraying of the fabric or anything like that.
- Can't find a single problem with it, really. Just a really good, basic collar.

Collar does not fit even though I measured before ordering. Went to process a return and they want to charge me $6.00 to send it back. For a $10.00 collar, that is not worth my time. I will not be purchasing from this company again. Unfortunate considering I have two dogs and am always in need of gear for them.

Keeps puppy, myself, and vehicle safer

I have a 25 lb puppy that I take everywhere with me. She always wants to sit in my lap while I drive and/or try to sit on my shoulders... I've never seen another dog try to wrap its body around one's shoulders like a scarf and as funny as it is, it's really dangerous. I paid $10 for a red Blueberry car seat strap for the dog and it works perfectly in my 2018 Honda Civic. I click it in the back seat and have it adjusted so she can reach both windows, but not the front and she still has plenty of room. I attach it to her with a padded harness for extra protection. No worrying about her jumping out of the window, being thrown out through the windshield in an accident, changing gears, or distracting me. I think it's a great product. I'll buy Blueberry again for sure, the color is really vibrant.
