I'm not sure what to say about this. My keypad broke on my laptop. I bought this and installed it and now my keypad works fine. Installation required some special tools which you can get from any computer screwdriver set. Go on youtube or ifixit to get the instructions on how to do it. I think it took 15 minutes or so. One thing I will say, and this has nothing to do with the keypad, is that there's a screw that controls the keypad button. If the screw is too loose or too tight, then the keypad button won't work. Part of the reason I replaced the keypad was the button wasn't working. But if I knew all I had to do was adjust that screw, then I could have done it and maybe not have purchased this, or at least bought myself some time. However, the product itself works very well and I have no complaints. Glad I did it.

This was easy to install and worked perfectly for my older model Mac Book (2012, 13"). Trackpads don't seem to last as long as the computer so it's nice to have a reasonable priced replacement that fits perfectly. One of our IT guys from work mentioned that if you put a piece of black electrical tape under the track pad it will last longer and you are less likely to have issues.

I got this to replace my cracked track pad on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13", the track pad cracked when the original battery became swollen. I ordered this product along with the new battery which came with the special tiny Phillips head screw drivers. The track pad itself did not come with tools. The installation went well, the screws that hold the track pad are extremely tiny and it took some concentration, and it is necessary to remove the battery. The track pad itself works well, looks just like the one from Apple and was very affordable.

This is a great trackpad replacement. The previous trackpad I purchased had a horrible gap and the circuitry on the back wasn't as well protected as this. I can go as far as saying that out of the 3 replacement trackpads i've had, this is the best.

There is a period after install where you have to "break in" the new click. For a while (a day or two), it will be harder to press the trackpad click, but after a while, it will become very easy after you break it in. Also, be sure to thoroughly clean around the trackpad when you replace it, a lot of dirt gets in from the sides of the trackpad and builds up.

Thrifty Replacement Trackpad

This product is so easy to use. If you have even surface level knowledge of engineering, or mechanics, you won't even need a video. Just pop open your laptop, remove the battery to expose the trackpad, unscrew, and replace. Place parts exactly where they were when you started and, you're done. Works like a charm! Compared to spending money at the Apple Store for fixtures, or invest in a new Macbook, this is the way to go!

I purchased this just over a month ago, so it is outside of Amazon's return window. The product description promises a 3-month warranty, but you have to contact JANRI for that - and guess what: AMAZON DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO CONTACT THEM!!!!

So I am out the cost of this trackpad and my daughter is now again without her computer.

I ordered anew track pad because mine was ghost clicking. I received this one and installed it noting it was missing screw holes that made the track pad stay in place. Because if this the trac pad tetered in place. I will say it worked. Along with missing screw holes my computer slowed down after installing it. And when I say it slowed down I mean it took literally and hour to turn it on and open up my web browser. I installed my old track pad again and it is working like it used to. Tragic.

My 2012 macbook pro trackpad had the classic phantom ghost erratic behavior. After ruling out software issues, was determined to be a hardware issue. Ordered this, replaced it...now working fine!

Stopped working a few weeks after purchase

This was a great trackpad for about a week. It's since stopped responding to click inputs. The pointer moves around just fine however I can no longer tap or click when selecting items and now need a replacement.
