Great chalk markers

Love these chalk markers!

For anyone who is concerned about them not erasing here is my advice: prime your board. I had no idea what that meant or what it did but take old school chalk on it's side and cover the board top to bottom. Erase. Then do the same thing side to side. Since doing that I have not had a problem with any staining.

My other word of advice is to be gentile to the tip when starting the pen. If you pump too hard you'll break the structure of the tip. I'm not sure if it's "wrong" but I tend to hold the pen down until paint starts to flow - being very cautious of the amount of pressure.

Bottoms line - I'll definitely buy these again!

Warning! Permanent! Does not erase!

I have never written a review before but I feel like for this product I have to! Please do not purchase this if you are not looking for something permanent. After reading the description, other reviews, and even the side of the box again once I received it, I was under the impression they are erasable. They are not after fully dry. I followed the directions and tested them first. On three different chalk surfaces actually. Once dry to the touch I used water to remove. It just smeared it so I used windex, like it suggested, to keep cleaning it. It removed enough to my satisfaction. I felt comfortable enough to use them on my baby board. The whole reason I purchased these in the first place. I was looking for something that would show up clearer on the board. I leave the board up until I need to change it for the next week. When I went to remove it today nothing happened. It was like I painted it on there. Even after scrubbing it didn't remove. I was able to clear the majority by scraping it off but that left marks on my board now on top of the fade of the marker that still remains. Very disappointed! For why I bought it I wish I could leave zero stars because I feel I was misled and in the end I have wasted money and could end up having to buy another board on top of it. However, I will say that if you are looking for a permananet label the markers worked very well and showed up clear. It also says it can be used on other surfaces like glass and I have not tested that. I am kind of afraid to now after this experience.

Ruined my mini chalkboards

I bought these for my best friend's bridal shower to write on the mini chalkboards that label the items on a food table. I left the writing on the boards just for the duration of the event - 4 hours. As soon as the event was over I tried to take off the writing with a wet paper towel and the writing only got about a shade lighter. When I got home I tried home remedies that I googled (hot water, vinegar, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser) and nothing got the writing off. I now have 13 ruined chalkboards. I wish I would have used regular chalk.

They write so smooth!

We've been using another brand in our office and bought these out of Amazon convenience. When we used them, they were so much darker and smoother than the ones we had been using. It almost felt like painting. The fine tip is easy to write with and I'm able to write on the board without the marker needing to be tilted down a certain way. Never going back to those peasant markers we used to use. These are awesome. They make me like to write on the board.

At first, I couldn't get these pens to write.I followed the instructions perfectly with no luck. My fiancé man handled them and got the ink to flow before I could return them. I was convinced the chalk ink had dried out, but that wasn't the case. Once the ink flows, they do their job. The finest marker's tip frays semi-easily so be gentile. Mine is now unusable.

These pictures are my first two experimental drawings that I did quickly but it gives you an idea. Very easy to get the white chalk to the tip. I didn't have to keep tapping forever! They work perfectly on flat and vertical surfaces. The other brand I bought, a multi colored set (used in the pictures) has a nice color assortment but were difficult to

use vertically. It took forever to get them going, then they wouldn't Work easily on the door. This brand (the white ones) is the BEST! I'm not sure how long they last so I'd buy 6 white ones instead of 3 because I personally used the white the most and then added color to my white drawings on a window pane and a glass storm door. Super fun and easy to do! Great for some easy and creative fun! Great for kids. The chalk can be used on almost any surface you can imagine.

Good for Use on Glass

I got these to experiment with for graduations and weddings that are upcoming. I have only used them on glass, as the seller specifically states they must be used on non-porous surfaces if you want to be able to remove what you have drawn/written. The marker creates a smooth, chalk/paint look with no skips or blobs. On mirrors you can see the reflection of your art from behind it (due to the nature of mirrors :). Good for writing on car windows (NOTE- I have not tried these on a tinted window or painted sections of a vehicle & don't know how it affects them). A wet paper towel removes marks easily from glass surfaces. I bought white markers, but could imagine the colored ones being used to mark stemware for a party.

Don't Bother

I had been given a little chalkboard by a friend. It did not come with chalk, so I ordered this. It seemed like a good way to avoid chalk dust. When it came, I was first unhappy with how long it took to finally make it write. Then I wrote a message on my little board, and set it out. It looked cute, but I wanted to rewrite it. I used water and a cloth to erase it, as the directions instructed. The words barely got even a little lighter in color. So I tried Windex and a cloth, as was also in the cleaning instructions. It did not do any better than the water. The message I had written was still obviously there. So I just carefully went over my original message, and left it. It's now there forever. Do not buy this product if you want to be able to erase your messages and write new ones. Maybe just don't buy this product.

Bright White Looks Nice on a Blackboard - Shake It Over A Sink

We use this all the time for the family to use as a Shopping List. We use it on a blackboard on the fridge.

It occasionally goes dry, you just shake it to work out the ink. When you shake up the ink you might try

doing it over a sink first.

I wish I'd learned by someone telling me instead of me learning about that by cleaning the spots off the floor :)

That's the only complaint I have, having to shake the pen, then stop and push in the tip, and do that multiple times

until the ink flows again. That's why I shake mine over the sink. That was the only thing I had with the markers, having

to shake them. It's a very small thing, doesn't even qualify as an 'issue'.

It's an easy cleanup. I clean the blackboard with a moistened napkin tip to loosen the dried ink, and the rest of the dry napkin to clean up the ink and dry the board.

I like these, easy to shake up, they last over a month, nice and bright white right to the end. I've bought them a few times, and we'll buy them again.

Worked great for parking cars

Only used the thinner tip, and it worked great for putting people's names on their cars as they packed into a small lot for a wedding. End of the night it was easy to know who to ask if you needed to get your car out. Wiped right off.

It did take pressing the tip down carefully a number of times to get the ink flowing the first time, but after that it wrote beautifully.
