This worked great for my purpose, but if I didn't get the extension I used it would be a problem. The screw on the mount is a bit too long for many devices. In this case, a Mobius Action Cam would screw in, but with the screen being too long, it would not fit snugly agains to bottom rubber stop. The camera would be tightly held, but would then rotate very easily changing where it was pointed.
The extension I used, corrected this. Abonnyc 1/4" 3/8" Camera/dslr Tripod Ballhead /Tripod Mini Ball Head Bracket Holder Mount Ballhead for Dslr Camera Tripod Head Mounts, Cameras Ballhead , Tripod Holders Head,brackets,music Stands, and Photography Light Stands Mounts fits nice and snug all the way down the the bottom of the mount which is rubber and does not move once tight.

A five star product at a five star price, however this doesn't work with the mounts I already have. The adapter is a millimeter too tall and a millimeter too wide to fit in my GoPro mounts. Maybe the company had legal issues with making the adapter compatable, maybe they're using a new standard for quick release, but unfortunately the product isn't what I needed. Also I wish there was a pin to prevent camera rotation.
Seems to be good quality and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't need this to be QuickRelease compatible.
Better than the original manufacturer's mount

Works perfectly for my Ion Pro helmet camera. It's way better than the original mount supplied by the manufacturer. Excellent adhesive, with the 3M VHB foam tape (VHB stands for Very High Bond, and its 3M's strongest adhesive tape).
I have used my helmet camera several times with this new mount, and so far so good. My only concern is the two little plastic tines that you squeeze together to release the mount clip from the mount base may eventually break because they are thin plastic. But until that time this is an excellent mount. Would buy again
Holds Great on my Dash

I bought this to use my Samsung gear 360 camera. I wanted to attach to my dash to record driving. Works great. My only complaint is that the 2 tongs that hold the two pieces together is a bit stout and takes getting used to. I felt I was going to break it the first couple of attempts.

I used this mount to attach my Samsung 360 camera to a matte grey bike/sports helmet. It does the job, and the 3M tape feels secure. Perfect! Hot tip: Hold the orientation of the camera in the direction that you want, while using the thumb dial to really tighten things down into the detachable mount. Then you slide the detachable mount into the fixed receiver.

Was skeptical at first because of all the cheap plastic going around. But this little adapter mount is well built and snaps together snug. The two way tape is super strong. Be sure to clean the surface with a alcohol base cleaner. I used fingernail polish remover and it aint coming off at all. Warning! tape cannot be removed and reinstalled, where you stick it is where it stays. Great product and I will order more for other projects.

I wanted this mount to attach a VR camera to a staff. The base of the mount is your standard fare plastic just like GoPro uses. The low profile and rounded design were very appealing. The weak link is, the clip part that you must squeeze to remove or install on the lower part. One of the arms snapped off literally on my first attempt to attach it. It held together but very weakly and I don't trust it. I'm hoping it is just an anomaly as I am committed to making this particular mount work.

Purchased this item for two reasons,
1: to mount on the railing of my balcony to mount my cell phone to create time-lapses
2: to use a mount in my car for my 360 camera
For both purposes this product performs flawlessly, the mount on the railing has held up very well and I live in Miami with crazy rain and sunny on the daily. The adhesive is very strong and shows no signs of weakness so far.
The detachable connector makes life much easier when you want to quickly swap out the mount or camera. Over this is a perfect product for my needs.
Better adhesive would make mount useful.

Doesn't stick to anything. Completely pointless. I haven't been able to use my camera in my car at all because the adhesive that comes with this is seriously less sticky than scotch tape. I don't understand the point of it.

I used this to mount a 360 camera in my car for autocrossing. The two bases offered lots of options and have stayed in place for several months with no issue. They include 3M adhesive foam pads, so the quality is there. There is no loose connection between the plate and slide, so the camera does not jiggle about under way. Very satisfied with the quality and ease of use.
