These LEDs RULE!

These little LEDs are "the bomb." I used them to replace hated, pathetic 12W halogen bulbs. I absolutely love them, for these reasons: 1. At 1.2W, they're 1/10th the power consumption of the halogens. 2. They're as bright or brighter and the perfect 2700k "warm while" light. 3. They fit perfectly in the standard fixtures with the two tiny holes. 4. They are easy to install due to being easily gripable (not slippery) and there is no problem touching them with your fingers. 5. Because they are LEDs AND well-built, they will probably last longer then the fixtures. 6. They were very reasonably priced. 7. Nothing similar is available at any of the popular hardware stores. I'm so happy about them I'm going to replace every low-voltage halogen that I have with these or something else from the same distributor, even if the old bulb is still working. I'm even thinking of installing more lights just so I can buy more of them!

These plugged right in to my existing light fixtures under my cabinets and worked great. I tried a different brand and those LEDs would turn on and then shut off after a few seconds. These worked right out of the box with my existing tranformer. We never wanted to turn on our under the cabinet lights in the kitchen because they got too hot all the time. With these there is pretty much no heat. If there is any, its VERY minimal. You'd have to hold you hand directly on the light for a long time to even start to feel a temperature change. Even then, it is insignificant heat. Bulbs are a perfect level of light too. They blend in well with the rest of the lighting in the kitchen They light up counters below cabinets with a nice bright glow without overpowering the ceiling lights in the kitchen. They turn on instantly and no flickering either. Would definitely buy again.

Previously made the mistake of purchasing DC only bulbs, these will work with AC or DC!

Initially about a year ago I purchased another brand of incorrect led landscaped lights as they were only designed for DC power. Issue was they do not have a capacitor to even out the 60 herts ac power so they would flicker 60 times per second a burnt out fairly quickly (6-12 months). I would recommend these as they can work with either AC or DC 12 volt power sources so you will not have the issue if your unsure if your landscape light transfer has an AC or DC output. Light seems roughly equivalent to my previous 10 watt incandescent bulbs or possibly a touch brighter. If you have a large number of landscape lights like I do that run all night over the course of a year these can add up to a true savings in your electrical bill.

Great replacement for tight fit halogens.

I have a very tight fit in my range hood lights and wanted to replace the very hot and wasteful G-4 20-watt halogen lights with these 1.2-watt LED lights. When I replaced all four with these, I did experience slight flicker, so I removed one, as suggested by the manufacturer, and replace it with one of the original halogens. Not only did that solve the flicker problem, but the quality of light was almost identical, a nice warm (I'd say 2700 Kelvin) light. So, it's not a perfect replacement, but it reduces heat and power consumption dramatically: 23.6 watts vs. 80 watts with no sacrifice in light quality. And no other LED's would have fit. These fit perfectly!

Great for boat replacement

Great bulbs. Bought to replace the 10 watt halogens in my boat cabin lighting. They are just a touch cooler in color than the halogens but we dont mind. After one weekend we didnt notice any difference. We used to use 80 watts on the battery bank to light the cabin and now we use 9 watts. Huge improvement when looking at consumption, doesnt even register on the panel meter. Already have recommended to fellow boaters.

We bought these to replace the existing bulbs we had as some of the existing bulbs burnt out, we decided to go for LED alternatives given the low power consumption. The bulbs are pretty sturdy, as compared to our existing bulbs, some shattered as we were removing them for replacement, these felt sturdy and well built. The brightness, is great, comparable if not better than our existing bulbs. Would definitely recommend these bulbs for anyone looking for LED alternatives.

Works perfectly for Fridgedaire microwave oven light

Bought this to replace a halogen bulb in my Frigidaire microwave oven. Was worried it may be physically larger than my halogen and not fit, but it was not, it was the exact same size and fit fine! Works perfectly with even more brighter light than the halogen. It has a very very slight purplish tinge that only I notice, no one else has noticed, even when I ask. And to be honest, I only notice it with something really white in the oven. Its description says "warm light", but it's more like "daylight" around 5K temperature. I still absolutely love the brighter light. My halogen lasted about 10 yrs... will see about this LED!

Nice replacement for halogen bulbs that use more power.

These smaller COB bulbs have seemed to hold up better than the higher 20 watt equivalent units I bought at the same time. I think that perhaps this is due to the smaller wattage not generating as much heat (yes, LEDs still generate some heat, but of course nothing like incandescent bulbs). They fit nicely into the socket and the color was pretty-much spot on with the halogen bulbs they replaced. I specifically replaced the halogens with these because we have a sailboat, and using low amounts of battery power when the engine is off is very important to us. All this being said, I have used these for probably about 20 hours total so far, so I don't consider that the long-term durability of these bulbs have been fully tested.

Short life !

I use these in my outdoor low voltage lights as halogen bulb replacements because I was tired of constantly changing out halogen bulbs. I have had these for 10 months and approximately 3600 hours on them. These are rated for 30,000 hours life and I have 5 of 9 lights out already. Will be looking for a replacement. Too bad because I liked the color output of these.

Sub-quality manufacturing - these LED lights do not last but a fraction of what halogen bulbs do

I would really like to give these LED bulbs a great review because after all, LED lighting technology is supposed to change the future, using less energy and lasting much longer than conventional incandescent or halogen bulbs. However, these bulbs don't last but a fraction of time that traditional 10W halogen G4 bulbs do.

I bought a new pack of these bulbs nine months ago and all of them have burned out now, that's more than one per month. Prior to changing out my halogen bulbs with these LED bulbs, they would last up to two years or more per bulb. So it goes to show you that even though the manufacturing capability is available to produce a quality LED bulb that will last, there doesn't appear a desire to do so.

Notice how the silicone is cracked at the tip? Not sure if this is the cause of the LED light failing, but I'm going back to halogen bulbs, at least for now, or until a more robust product comes on the market.
