Eh. We bought into the hype and I thought this would be a cute idea since they're twins, but... these hatchimals do not move around like the original. One twin has almost a bobble head and you can push its head down and the other twin is supposed to dance, but ours just kind of shakes and is extremely loud. Whatever components are inside that twin just make a really annoying buzzing sound, so playing with it is extremely frustrating because you can barely hear what it's saying. These are a lot worse than the first hatchimal from last year and are a little confusing too. Each twin has its own set of rules to follow, so for children under 7-8, understanding what the eye color means will probably be difficult, if not frustrating. I can really only be disappointed with myself for ordering this

Was amazed watching the kids watching this little plastic critter and sibling hatch. One has an electric motor that pushes the critter out of the egg. Follow the directions and don't drop it. Right when they come out they sing happy birthday then the twins talk to one another.

Arrived broken, Spinmaster will not replace or refund

I purchase Christmas gifts early in the year, so this box did sit in my closet for 5 months, unused, before Christmas. When it was opened and hatched, one of the hatchimals did not work properly. It turns on then turns off and will not work for more than a minute or two even with a battery replacement.

We contacted Spinmaster about the issue and were told that they could not replace or repair it but would give us 40 percent off the purchase of another toy. After we pressed them and showed them a picture of the ridiculous amount of Hatchimals my child has accumulated over the years, they offered us a toy worth about 16 dollars.

Hatchimals have been my daughters favorite toy and thing to get for a few years, but I will never buy another one after this experience. I would be more than willing to pay to ship it back to have repaired or replaced but they will not do that.

So please keep that in mind before you buy one of these. Spinmaster does not stand behind their product.

Bought as a Christmas present. My kids loved this as they had been asking for it for awhile now and they loved the time they spent getting it to hatch which really wasn't to long...maybe 10-15mins is all but I do feel that is long enough for kids, otherwise they loose interest. Once hatched the twins are pretty cute and my girls have enjoyed playing with them!

My daughters got these as they Early Xmas present and to say they were happy and impressed was an understatement. Normally they play with a toy and just put it down and don't pick it up again. This toy is different, they have continuously played with it. And due to having 2 animals in 1 egg it made it perfect for my 2 girls.

I bought this for my 8 yr. old granddaughter, because that is what she asked for. Thinking this was just another gimmick toy that she would open and lose interest in. But the reviews were really good, so Happy Birthday. She loved it, ( twins in one egg). She takes them everywhere, and yes I play with them too. We both get so excited when their eyes change color and we can look up on the chart what they are thinking or feeling. Can't wait for her to get back from vacation so I can see what their toddler phase is like. 5 year old little brother has already asked for one too for Christmas.

The products work fine, but the batteries are frustrating!

Twin B requires round batteries for like, literally no reason. They are 1.5v AG13 (LR44) round batteries that are not always available in stores. I had to order a 20 pack. And the round batteries do not last long. I've already changed the batteries and they ran out again in two days.

My daughter is happy but if this thing keeps eating through the batteries like this, she's just going to have to be happy with one and the other one will just have to sit there and do nothing. Because I am not about to keep ordering batteries and having this thing go through them in two days.

I spent almost $70 on this toy and if I keep buying batteries for it I'll spend more than that for the batteries alone. Ridiculous and huge design flaw. How disappointing.

Now that all the hype surrounding hatchimals have died down, I bought these for my granddaughter's 6th birthday. She loved the hatching process (which started immediately after getting them out of the box!) and was so excited when they both hatched in about 20 minutes - one shortly after the other. These particular hatchimals are a cross between a peacock and a cat. We received the pink and blue ones. It's really adorable how they interact with each other, which I feel is head-and-shoulders above the single hatchimals toys. They ARE smaller, but that just makes it easier for Liliana to tuck one under her arm and carry it around with her. You may want to be sure to shut them off at night, so they don't accidentally get activated and wake your little one up! I highly recommend these toys!

A quality product with great play potential

My granddaughter loved this gift.

The product was well packaged and though we held it for a month before presenting it, the toy worked exactly as expected. She had a great time handling the egg until it eventually hatched and the two stuffed toys inside are still well used.

Different battery requirements

The product is okay. Twin A makes alot of clicking pooping noises when she moves and Twin B's batteries ran out the day it arrived and it's wings don't move. I don't understand why each twin comes with two different battery requirements, that was a crappy idea. My daughter loves them anyway.
