This stuff works! In water!
by Candy G. (5 out of 5 stars)

This stuff really works! My son didn't get anyone's help before he went out (he's 16)and attempted to put the sunscreen on himself. (He was born with one hand) so he missed half of his back. You can see the difference big time!! And he was in our pool the whole time. About 2-3 hours.

drying

Bought this because it was recommended by hotnflashy and I was very disappointed. For mature skin, I do not think this is a good product, it is drying and accentuates wrinkles. It does protect you from the sun, just not good for a mature face in my opinion.

I will definitely buy this again.

Let me preface by saying I am NOT a makeup type of person. The less the better for me. That being said, I've been wanting something to help even out my complexion a bit but still be fairly utilitarian. Enter this tinted facial SPF!

I am very fair skinned so most things are too dark for me. Surprisingly, this is not! I can hardly tell I'm wearing it but its enough to even things out a bit. It is one of the least greasy SPF lotions I've tried and I love that about it.

In my picture I have half of my face done. The right side of my picture (pointing) has the product on.

Tl;dr.... I would definitely buy this again!

It has the functionalities that I love but also has the side effects that I dislike
by Sandy,Top Contributor: Fountain Pens (3 out of 5 stars)

Broke me out and clog my pores. :(

I debated whether to give this three or four stars. It has the functionalities that I love but also has the side effects that I dislike. I have very oily, sensitive skin with enlarge pores and minimal amount of fine lines. I don't wear makeup, I use sunscreen and top with silica powder, brow powder and off I go to work. I did not change anything else in my daily routine.

Pros:
1) Texture is great. It feels like a whipped cream, very light and barely has any scent. Putting it on isn't hard, and no rubbing in involved.
2) Tinted, but not dramatic. The tint is barely there, it can help with light redness and give you a natural look if used alone or a nice base for your makeup.
3) Non-greasy. This is not greasy at all, it dries matte but not dull. Your skin will look very normal.
4) Does not sit in fine lines or pore. It doesn't sink into your pores or fine lines. I have enlarge pores, to the point that you can see my pores easily on a closeup. This doesn't exaggerate my pore at all, in fact it glides over them and blue them out. Of course anything bigger, it won't be able to help.
5) Oil controlling. I used this in an over 10 hour day, humid Boston day. At EOD the sunscreen on my T-zone melted, but that was pretty much it. My oils gave me a natural glow rather than looking like a greasy pit.

Cons:
1) Clog my pores. I used this for a week and exfoliated like I normally would, every Wed and Sun. But I still had non pimple or whitehead bumps everywhere. I also use micellar water to take this product off before using Cetaphil to wash my face. I thought it may be me over washing since Exuviance Daily Protector is very hard to take off so I tone down my exfoliation. That did not work out either.
2) Break outs. Of course break outs are in inevitable after a while. End of the week, I had one or two break outs. They heal quickly but still it's annoying that this gave me break outs.
3) No skin care effects. The product says it has vitamins and antioxidants to help protect the skin. Well let's just say my skin wasn't soft after using this for a week. On top of the clogged pores, there was just nothing that helped my skin.

You may say well there are more pros then cons, I should like it. But I've dealt with acne all my lift. The sight of a pimple annoys me, it makes me feel like all my diligence in keeping my skin clear goes down the drain. I wish this didn't clog my pores. I will use this on and off til I'm done, repurchase is a maybe. I still recommend oily skin guys and gals give this a shot. It's very well priced and it may work for someone else even though it did not work for me.

I watch Hot & Flashy on YouTube and she recommended this.I am a nurse in a dermatology office and I have used very high priced tinted SPF before. Nothing ever has came close to how great my skin looks with this this. This SPF makes my makeup look flawless. First day back to work after getting this I got compliments. My face is not greasy at all and I have even stopped applying my daily moisturizer because love this so much. I highly recommend and will buying this forever!!

Universal Tint for my Sensitive Skin
by Alisa Lani (5 out of 5 stars)
May 22, 2019

I just recently switched to this sunscreen cuz I wanted a tinted one that didn't break my bank and I think I found it! It's super easy to blend in, doesn't clog my pores or feel greasy, doesn't have that sunscreen smell.. it almost smells like a Shea butter smell, very slightly anyway. My sensitive skin loves it and it's cruelty free!

Goes great under my Chanel foundation
by Dulcinea El Toboso (5 out of 5 stars)
December 24, 2017

Wow- got this per recommendation from Angie (Hot'n'Flashy) and it lives up to the hype. Goes great under my Chanel foundation, provides a great base-foundation goes on smoothly right on top. I don't use a primer anymore; just this sunscreen instead. No irritation, redness, or stinging after application. If I get over-warm, it does make my face a bit oily by mid-day (I do have oily skin) but I have to use a sunscreen because of retinol use, and this is the best so far.

What I like: The all-natural ingredients
by Angel E (3 out of 5 stars)

What I like: The all-natural ingredients. Very effective sunblock. Has a great scent.

What I don't like: Leaves white color in skin creases that makes your skin look dry. Takes two showers to get it to go away. (Although applying another kind of lotion over it does help.) It can also stain dark clothing, so be sure to apply before putting on dark clothing. It left a white shiny stain on one of my dark colored t-shirts that did not come off after washing.

Recommended for oily to normal skin types that are darker than NC25
by Bella (5 out of 5 stars)

This is a review for the tinted version.

First of all, for the people saying this doesn't have an obvious tint, you're NOT applying enough if that's the case. You need to apply 1/4th of a teaspoon to get the advertised UV protection.

This sunscreen has a PPD/UVAPF of 19 according to the manufacturer, which is actually fairly decent for a sunscreen available in the US.

I would not recommend this for dry skin unless you plan on moisturizing properly beforehand - otherwise it can exacerbate dry patches and scaly skin. This has a matte finish and the coverage resembles a BB cream (think Maybelline dream fresh BB cream) or tinted moisturizer. It certainly isn't full coverage, it's more like low to medium coverage.

I would not recommend this for anyone lighter than NC25 as it may be too dark for you. It is also very warm toned so it may not be suitable for pink undertones.

Overall, I think this is a good sunscreen in the sense that it manages to avoid the characteristics people hate sunscreen for: the whitecast, stickiness and shine - all the while still managing to offer respectable UV protection.
