This extension cable, specifically designed for the Philips Hue Lightstrip system, enables you to create a break in your LED lightstrips instead of having only one continuous lightstrip. The possibilities are endless! You can run lights under cabinets with a break over the sink, create sharply defined lighting on a series of shelves, or even connect lightstrips across an entire room. Our cables are flexible and flat, which makes them inconspicuous - perfect for designing your ideal lighting setup!

NOTE: If you want to connect this product directly to the Philips Lightstrip Plus Controller, you MUST use the Litcessory Controller to 6-Pin adapter to do so.

I purchased this LED Strip Light Extension cable to use with my Philips Hue light strip plus and extension for a under cabinet light project. Since I already have a few Hue bulbs, I thought it would be nice to brighten my dim kitchen counter area. The problem was my microwave is right in the middle of my cabinets. I didn't want to use strip lighting there so I started searching for an extension that would allow me to get from one side of the microwave to the other. I found tons of cables with 2,4 and even 5 pins, but none with 6 so I bit the bullet and dished out the money for this set of cables from litecessory. Did it work? Of course it did, hence my 4 star rating. It was simple plug and play. I deducted one star because I was not happy about having to pay so much for two cables when I only needed one. The two cables average out to 9 dollars per which isn't too bad if you were only paying for one cable. Since I'm planning on doing another project with Philips, I was okay with paying nearly 20 bucks. Others may not be so happy about the price. I am very grateful that this company put this product out. It boggles my mind that Phillips doesn't provide it when most every other company provides a similar product.

I edited my review from 4 stars to 5 because I ended up using the other cable to do my upper cabinets and i was thrilled with how it came out. Didn't seem fair to dock the product for forcing me to purchase two when I found it so useful.

Beware Quality Control: Verify correct cable genders before installation!

I bought a set of these to run through the walls separating my kitchen cabinets on which I had placed Hue Lighting Strips & Extensions.

Aside from a few difficult reaches in running the cable through my walls the first run went great. It saved me money on LEDs that would be hidden in the walls & allowed me to couple multiple cabinets as a single logical "Hue Light" in my home automation configs.

I was very happy with the product at this point.

But while running the second extension cable, I found that both ends had Female connections instead of the the Male-Female as described on the product page.

This was a frustrating disappointment.

Even more frustrating, I found that I was not able to get just the one botched cable replaced. I had to send back both cables & get both replaced.

This means having to undo the delicate & tedious task of running the good cable, just so I can do it again once the replacement arrives.

I repeatedly tried to request replacement of just the one cable that had not been installed, but got no response to my queries.

BOTTOM LINE: This is a great product for fitting your Hue lights to your home, but you may find Customer Service disappointing if you run into a Quality Control issue like I did.

hard to find pieces for connecting philips hue light strips. works great and recommend for anyone needing to extend their led strips over a great distance. i am not sure why philips do not include these with the purchase of their strip lights being the cost of them. they should be part of the purchase if you ask me.

Getting creative with Hue LED light strips and these splitters fit the bill for a project I designed for floating shelves. These helped extend the connections inside the wall from the controller to each of the shelves. No wires are visible. Everything is connected to my wifi and the lights / colors are controlled using Amazon Echo

Exactly what I needed to help connect pieces of Philips Hue LightStrips together. The LightStrips are not very flexible, and are difficult to mount in many spaces without cutting and reconnecting using a more flexible material, such as these. The only problem was that I accidentally ordered too many. Oh well ... if I ever buy any more light strips, I'll be fully stocked.

A good length of a cable. The slim profile allowed me to slide these behind and between cabinets. They feel sturdy and allow me to believe that these will stand up to the test of time.

I have two minor complaints about these, as well as the other cables. The first is that they are not keyed, you won't know if they are connected properly until you plug the LightStrip extension in. But if it's wrong, flip the connector over and it should work. My second complaint is that they don't lock. A slight tug and they would come right apart. My solution to this was to simply wrap the joining connectors with electrical tape. Problem solved.

Working Great to Extend Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus

These extension cables were exactly what I was looking for. They allowed me to cut my Lightstrip Plus into 3 different sections and install each section on a different tier on my shelf. These come with removable pins on the end, so it doesn't matter if you need a male or female end, it can be changed easily. Combine these with the cut-end crimp connectors and some adhesive clips, and you've got a clean Hue installation without the need to solder anything.

The extension cable works great. But something to take note of, if you are planning to connect the extension cable to the main adapter/controller of the Philips Hue base, you'll need to buy the Direct-to-Controller cable or else, you'll be left like me. Speechless and having to do a second purchase and delivery.

Does exactly what was expected. I wanted to span Hue Lightstrips across two wall shelves, without having to have light going vertically between the shelves. Does the job. there's still a cable running between the shelves obviously, but at least it's not lights. When I first plugged them in, the 'extended' strip didn't work so I was worried. But I unplugged and turned the cable over, and it came right on.

I have been researching for the past few months on whether or not to install LED lights under my kitchen cabinets. I wanted the process to be as easy as possible. I purchased a set of Philips hue light strips, because I liked the smart functionality and because I have other Philips hue lights installed in my house. I needed to run the lights across 2 different sets of cabinets. This was just what I was looking for! This product worked perfect!
