There is no taste, and it works! Posting my before and after picture. This is one use. Brushed for 5 minutes, and then followed with my regular toothpaste to clean the black off.

This product for starters is AMAZING! I am a person who has very sensitive teeth, so for a while now I have not been able to "whiten" them because I am a major coffee drinker. I discovered charcoal powder teeth whiting powders about a year ago and I have tried several brands, and this one by far is my favorite. No, it does not have a taste but that does not mean it does not freshen your breath! The natural ingredients help to kill bacteria leaving you with fresh breath! This product is not gritty like ALL of the other charcoal powders I have used in the past. It turns into almost a paste when used properly. It is also very mess free. Yes the idea of black powder is a scary one, but it was recommended to use this product in the shower (which I do) and everything just rinses right away. I am so excited to finally have the chance to remove the staining of my teeth in a way that I know the products aren't going to do any damage because everything is natural!

6mo update:

Just left the dentist after my first appt since using this stuff. I. WANT. TO. CRY. I'M. SO. HAPPY. This was the least painful cleaning I've ever gotten. No sensitivity. No pain. It was incredible. The staff seemed to be surprised my gums and teeth were in such good condition after skipping my last appt. I walked out of the office not feeling like they had hardly touched my mouth (normally my gums and teeth are sore and hurt for the rest of the day). Yes, this stuff is messy. Yes, it's not as cheap as "normal" toothpaste. NEVER GOING BACK. This has shown me what crap we've all been duped into using that does nothing for our gums and teeth. I'm angry that the industry is what it is today and that that $14 bottle of prescription toothpaste for sensitivity and whitening (full of icky chemicals you have to be careful not to swallow) doesn't even come CLOSE to this stuff. Never again.

I can't even say how much I love this stuff. I've been using in for about a month now as often as I can (mostly twice a day, sometimes only once when I'm too busy). I've always had problems with my teeth (due to 7 years of bad orthodontics which left my teeth feeling like they would fall out---and one actually did 3 years ago.) When I had a ton of gum work done it left my teeth EXCRUCIATINGLY sensitive after that several years back on top of weak teeth. I couldn't drink any cold water or any cold foods without horrific pain. My dentist had given me this expensive prescription toothpaste to use at night but it had too many icky chemicals that aren't good for you and didn't do much to help the sensitivity. After using this stuff ONE WEEK my sensitivity had diminished SIGNIFICANTLY. Now, after a solid month, I don't even flinch when I accidentally drink cold water. INCREDIBLE. My teeth feel STRONG again and smooth and beautiful. They are whitening up as well which is also nice, and my mouth feels SUPER FRESH and odorless, but the most important thing to me personally is that I don't feel like I need to worry about my teeth now with this stuff. I've been recommending it to everyone. Thank you, Living Earth!

I love this product! I am still on my first jar & about to order another one. I started out using this product every other day for about 2 weeks & the results are almost immediate, but I would think after about the third or fourth time you will definitely benefit from the results! I now use this twice a week for maintenance & my teeth are SUPER white. No whitening strip or whitening gel has ever gotten my teeth this white!! A few tips on how I use it....I use it in the shower, my husband & I both have a suction toothbrush holder in the shower with a designated toothbrush used specifically for the charcoal powder, I brush my teeth for about 2 - 3 minutes (and I've read from multiple sources that charcoal can actually remineralize your teeth, so I do use it on all my teeth), I spit & rinse about 3 times, the charcoal mess washes away very easily. When I get out of the shower, I floss my teeth very good & brush with a whitening toothpaste. My teeth feel incredible & look like I just left the dentist office with a very expensive whitening treatment! It's natural, it's organic, you don't have to wait around for 30-45 minutes with a slimy, uncomfortable strip on your teeth, your teeth don't get sensitive & it's only $17. It's a no-brainer!!

That charcoal toothpaste? That. Stuff. Works. Took 10 years of cigarettes out of my mouth in one brush. Some exaggeration, but it definitely made them 2 shades whiter after one brush. I take generally good care of my teeth. Floss and brush regularly. So to be able to tell after just one brush...I'll preach it.

Sorry, but I really didn't like this product. very messy. charcoal dust everywhere. i did use it as directed, twice per day for a month. I didn't see any change in my teeth. Spent just as much time cleaning the bathroom sink/counter than I did brushing. Also, as others have written, it hurt my gums (top between two front teeth). After a month, I tossed it.

I was skeptical after reading the variety of reviews on this product. I'm always looking for ways to brighten my smile but I have very sensitive teeth. I have tried every type of white-strip you can imagine as well as suggestions from my dentist, but the sensitivity I felt afterwards was just too much. Finally after debating back and forth between buying this I did and let me say that it is freaken fantastic and best of all there was absolutely no sensitivity. It can be messy but I always brushed my teeth by the sink and just made sure to wipe up any little black speckles that I happened to find afterwards and clean and rinse my sink once I was finished. There is no taste at all, which seems weird because you would think that there would be some kind of taste and best of all it works! I found that the easiest process for me was to use Black Pearl, rinse thoroughly, brush with your regular toothpaste, floss, etc. Occasionally I would see little black spots in between my teeth but it wasn't anything that floss couldn't get out. Just make sure that you buy a separate toothbrush specifically for this product because it will turn your bristles black. I use a Oral-B toothbrush and I was not willing to ruin that, so I just went and bought a regular toothbrush to use with this. I noticed a difference in the color of my teeth after the second day. I used Black Pearl twice a day (I did morning and evening) for the recommended 30 days and my teeth are easily 2-3 shades whiter. I even had a dentist appointment within the 30 days and my dentist commented on the color of my teeth. After the 30 days I use Black Pearl once a week just to maintain the improvements that I have already received. Take a before and after picture, you will be glad you did!

I have been using this Black Pearl Activated charcoal teeth whitening powder for 2 wks Now and I must say, it does actually working!!!

This teeth whitening powder does a great job cleaning my teeth. One of the things that I love the most, this has no flouride and for having a sensitive teeth this is perfect for me.

The powder can be messy when brushing but it's all good to me because it is making my teeth whiter and fresher.

Right now, I'm so happy with this product and will continue using this.

First of all, do not use this in anyone else's presence. Lock yourself in the bathroom and you'll probably want to avoid the mirror. Second of all, the description says it freshens your breath/alleviates bad breath. I don't know about that, but one thing I do know--it tastes like dirt. I brush with regular toothpaste afterward. You MUST floss or waterpik after brushing because anything between your teeth turns black. I don't see a noticeable difference in the color of my teeth but that doesn't mean you won't. I will continue to use it hoping at some point my smile (and satisfaction) will brighten .
