Works, but with a few issues...by Chris H (2 out of 5 stars)

Alright, this is the FIRST Chemical Guys product that I was not happy with. I will start by saying that this brush works, but has some issues. The bristles were falling out all over my interior with the first use. This is not a dealbreaker, but it's annoying. My biggest problem with this brush is that IT STINKS! After doing the first seat in my 4runner and moved to the second seat I kept getting this familiar odor. Anybody that uses Chemical Guys products know that all of their stuff smells good enough to eat. This is not the case and the brush has a very distinct horse manure smell. I stopped using it after I finished doing the front seats and 3 days later, It smells like "poop" in my car. I ordered some of their leather scented interior spray and hope that I can cover this smell up, but It seems that I have successfully infused this smell into my car. I'm going to try and soak this brush in some hefty cleaner before I try to use it again. Side Note: The leather cleaner is fantastic! Hope this helps somebody before it's too late!
I would not recommend this brush

The brush bristles constantly fall out of this brush and the horse hair was initially quite odorous (I don't think the hair was cleaned adequately prior to the manufacturing of the brush). The Chemical Guys sticker fell off on the first use as well. Disappointing given the quality of other Chemical Guys products. I would not recommend this brush.
Don't do it!

Horrible purchase! I read the other reviews and I didn't believe them so I bought this item hoping that they were wrong, unfortunately as soon as I start using this brush it came apart .. hair all over the place and it didn't do anything for my leather couch even with their chemicals which claim it would. What a bummer!
Better than using a microfiber towel. The bristles fell out on my first use, although it was not odo

I used this brush to clean the interior of my 11 year old car.
I used All Clean + in 1:10 dilution ratio. When I spray the AC+ onto the interior and vinyl seat and scrubbed with this brush I immediately noticed the bristles are falling out. I think I should keep monitoring on this issue. Honestly, this bristle seems to have nothing special. But it feels that using a horse hair brush(which will not ruin the surface of interior and vinyl seats) produced better results than scrubbing with microfiber towel. This is the first time that I used a horse shoe brush in cleaning the interior and the vinyl seats.
The bristle is slightly more stiff and crowded than the usual horse-hair shoe brushes. It's more like a pig-hair shoe brush in stiffness, which may take advantage in lifting dirt, grime, foreign bodies and etc. So I am thinking of using a horse hair shoe brush also.
After scrubbing all the interior with this brush and AC+, I washed this brush in tap water. Wow there were much dirt coming out from the brush itself. It seemed this brush did its job well. I could easily wash this brush just using the tap water. I think it is recommended to wash this brush immediately after use to keep the bristles clean. Due to its shape, it cannot be used on specific surfaces. You may need a tooth brush or a detailing brush to clean more complicated parts.
You can see there is another horse hair brush from Chemical guys

Chemical Guys ACCS96 Premium Select Horse Hair Interior Cleaning Brush for Leather, Vinyl, Fabric and More
It's handle is slightly better and it is a little bit softer and more expensive.
I would recommend the Premium Select Horse Hair brush for cleaning leather seats and this Long Bristle Horse Hair Leather Cleaning Brush for plastic and vinyl along with a complementary tooth brush or a detailing brush.
I hope the bristle shedding would stop soon.
As for smell, I noticed nothing special. I think Chemical Guys may have treated it successfully.
Bottom lines, interior cleaning using this brush and the Chemical Guys All Clean +(plus) yielded better results than using a microfiber towel and other conventional cleaner. As its shape limits its usefulness on some specific parts or areas it would be advised to use a complementary detailing brush or a tooth brush. Thanks!!
Good brush; does need to be cleaned after use

I like this brush on car leather. It has a good grip and scrubs the leather quite nicely. Some reviewers complain about an odor in the brush. I did notice the odor myself when using the brush. I *think* the odor comes, at least partially, from the brush not being cleaned properly after being used. Wash it thoroughly after use, maybe with a little soap (like a clear liquid soap) and then dry and it should be fine. Remember, soap attracts dirt so you'd never want to let soap stay in any item indefinitely.
The brush is good for leather seats and other interior parts, but hard to use for steering wheels. It is hard to knock the product for that, but getting the brush into leather door panels may be tough. You might look for a smaller, circular shoe-type cleaning brush for the wheel and door panels if you need to clean those parts of your car.
Piece of Junk!!!

It came with hairs all fallen out in the bag before I even opened it. Tried to clean it and get the loose hairs out and the thing totally fell apart. I bought this for their leather kit and it literally says on the back of the bottles " Chemical guys specializes in the highest quality car care chemicals, CAR WASH ACCESSORIES, buffing pads and machines..." Then what is this piece of junk! I'm sure you can get something much better in a dollar store. This product jeopardizes the integrity of this company, and I would stay away from this thing. Question everything they sell.
Great product!

Brush is exceptional. I use it to clean leather and dashes. Does lose a little hair if you get slightly aggressive with it but that is expected. Use this with meguiars apc and it will bring leather/vinyl back to new. Do be careful to store it where it isnt sitting on bristles as they will get distorted and bent if so.
Like others that have purchased the brush

Like others that have purchased the brush, many bristles did seem to fall out; however, this was only during the initial scrubbing. After using it for several minutes, the bristles seemed to stay in place. The bristles are soft enough that I was not concerned with scrubbing my leather seats accompanied with the Chemical Guys Cleaner and Conditioner. Overall, the brush seems very durable.
A bit confused if I received a same product. ...

A bit confused if I received a same product. Despite highly rated reviews, it loses hair so much. Once I use it on the soft top of a car, it will leave a lot of hair on the soft top. Takes quite a bit of time to remove the hair.
You will lose your hair with this brush.

The brush is a good size but I don't recommend it because the horse hair falls out on the first use and it's all over the place. I understand that natural horse hair brushes do shed but this brush is losing a lot of bristles. At this rate I will be left with just the handle after a couple of months of use. I would recommend finding a better brush.
