I love these pencils! I have used so many that I finally just gave in and bought a whole box of them. These are the perfect thing for Mixed Media art work. They leave a nice dark line that is water-soluble so you can activate them with water for a wonderful smokey line.

These work great. Draws on smoothly, and smudges great when a small amount of water is added, either with your finger or water brush pen. Nice dark solid black. I've used them in mixed media projects, and on top of acrylic pours and it works great for both.

Love them love them. A great alternative to pencil! I took them to figure class and everyone was loving the look they had when used with a water brush to create shading. They are different than a water-soluble pencil. They have a richter blackness and much softer when wet. They will take a bit of prctice if you don't use any water media.

I just started sketching and I'm so glad these were recommended by an instructor. So creamy and smooth. My only wish is they erased better, but I'm learning to make better lines and fewer errors.

I use this for mark making on CWM & encaustic. Exceptional black, very dark without blue or green. A true black I use everyday. I kept buying these one at a time at the art store but finally figured out I could've ordered a box on Amazon for a better price. Now that I have a box I see that I no longer ration it's use & just really love this pencil.

I use black colored pencils all the time to outline my drawings, so these were a lifesaver when I needed them. My drawings are much better off for them!
