Even at my age of 85 years, I never get tired of watching Great Movies. Beauty and The Beast is one I will never tire of. The Animation and Voice overs by the many great actors are both wonderful.

I admit I am a little biased based on the fact I was a kid when the movie came out. However, rating the features that come with the DVD for the cost (compared to stores in my area) it was a good purchase. I wanted to show my daughter the original after she saw the real-life movie.

I won't get into a review of the movie itself, since at this point it's well known as one of the best Disney Animated films of all time (it was nominated for the Best Picture in the era before they expanded the number of nominees!).

The real reason for the review and the reason to purchase the Walt Disney Signature Collection version is for the digital copy that comes with it. Our family travels a lot, so we keep our daughter entertained on long car rides with movies. We have loaded up an Amazon Fire with digital copies of her favorite Disney Movies, and being able to include Beauty and the Beast download has been great. It is easy to redeem the digital copies, and Amazon has made it very easy to link our library to other digital streaming services. I redeem the code once, and the movie shows up in our Amazon library immediately so we can download and take the movie with us when we won't have internet access.

The included DVD is great for lending to friends and family, and the blu-ray copy is our go-to for watching at home. It provides a beautiful picture and sound, with a ton of great extras. I will definitely continue purchasing the Disney Signature collection releases, not only to own some amazing films, but to be able to take them with us wherever we go.

Easily one of my favorite classics

I feel like anything that has been said about this has already been said by both the general audience and movie critics alike so I don't think I have anything new to add beyond that, yeah, this is definitely one of my favorite films of all time and I hope it will always be a classic.

It did pretty much everything great: music, animation, pacing, writing, characters, and I'm just going to end up listing every job cuz it is just that great.

I know by today's standards people are expecting some super deep things (which is fine, cuz I enjoy that too), but I think a lot of people forget that a simplistic film is just as amazing as a very in-deph film(just like how a deep film can easily be a mess or not actually be that deep at all). And I think it's good to appreciate the different level of depths in film so long as we don't ignore the quality of everything else; and thus, I truly think this Beauty and the Beast will be remembered for a long, long time due to level of both effort and skill that was put into it.

Good movie, messed up disk

I love this movie and my little one was so excited to watch it. However, it gets pixelated in a few areas of the movie, the biggest part is around chapter 13 (I think) where Beauty and the Beast are sitting down to dinner. I cannot find a way to contact the seller to try to exchange the bad movie for a good one. Any help would be appreciated.

I never watched this back when it was originally released even though I was a fan of Disney at the time. I think because I saw it as more of a "chick flick". Beauty and the Beast has the same charm and feel of the earlier animations such as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc., while still being a newer 90's film. I originally only collected films that were released before Walt passed but I'm glad to have this as part of my collection. I'm now looking forward in to trying The Little Mermaid. I wish Disney still made 2D animated films but I believed that failed with The Princess and the Frog's release. I think that failed to do as well because it has a voodoo/New Orleans feel and that's not what most think of when they think of the princess and frog story. At least that is what I get from the trailer. I haven't seen the film nor do I have plans to do so. Anyways, B&B is a great film and you should check it out if you have not yet done so. The blu-ray looks awesome!

This 25th anniversary blu-ray edition did not include the digital copy (or any inserts) as promised. Disney fixed everything after a few emails. The discs play fine and picture is very clear.

**Beauty and the Beast (Five Disc Combo: Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy)**

Disney is not reproducing 3D copies of Beauty and the Beast at this point in time. Despite the re-release of the classic animation, preceding the release of the live-action film this next year, there is not a 3D option Some have argued against the color transfer quality of the Blu-Ray combo-pack release, and that the 3D version pack provides a better transfer. This is difficult to say, but most agree that the 3D version of this film may or may not be for everyone.

I was fortunate, the pre-owned copy I had purchased had not utilized its "Digital Copy". It's important to understand how Disney Movies Anywhere is now working: while some of the titles may/may not have expired, I have not yet experienced an "expired" redemption code, only feedback messages of "code has already been redeemed". Previously, "Digital Copy" allowed disc owners to download a copy of their films onto their tablet devices and laptops; these copies still work, but are often Standard Definition versions. Today, Disney honors those owning a "Digital Copy" redemption code (accessible through registered accounts), through providing an additional "Digital HD" streaming copy aligned with their current Disney Movies Anywhere network. Disney is actually pretty stingy on everything else, so it's nice to know they do this.

Those with a Disney movies Anywhere Account can link their Amazon, VUDU, and iTunes accounts. Thereafter, any movie registered through one of these accounts is automatically linked on all other accounts, including Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA). For Beauty and The Beast, we registered our Digital Copy (no longer offered as an option on new Disney movies), long after the film had been placed "back into the vault", and long after any 'expiration date'; instantly the film was viewable on our Amazon account, as well as DMA, iTunes, and VUDU accounts. In the event that you purchase a "Digital Copy" Disney film, it is extremely important that you reconcile your DMA and various other streaming accounts.

It remains to be seen how Disney will look to address existing Digital HD access as streaming sources improve in bitcontent quality. Will they finally offer an upgrading price, or will they merely offer a new option for UHD, at an additional $20? This is hard to say. (VUDU can facilitate disc-to-digital upgrades for its Ultraviolet partnered films). For my family, we love our B&TB copy, I appreciate having the 3D no longer offered. The digital streaming version looks tremendous on Amazon, but this should be the same version offered to any account owning a digital streaming copy. Note: at currently I am having issues playing any Disney-affiliated movie on VUDU in their HDX format on my laptop; VUDU states I own this upgraded viewing option, but this issues persist.

Highly disappointed. Can't get it to play, even though it's supposed to be a Region 1 disc. I wouldn't normally expect pirated garbage directly from Amazon.

This is the best. I bought the original bbs when my daughter was born.I still have the it, but I love this so much more. I she can watch it over and over again and never get a scratch on digital. I love love love this set. Thanks so much.
