I'm a 63yo man, 6'1", who had weighed consistently 195lbs for some years. Suddenly, over a few weeks in August, I found myself breaking 200. That got me thinking weight loss seriously, and coincidentally, I stumbled on an infomercial for a miracle weight loss product, where the supposed doctor pushing his product touted the benefits of it's three components (Berberine, Gynostemma (Jiaogulan) and Quercetin) for boosting AMPK and burning deep abdominal fat. That being my curse, I started looking at reviews of the 3 supplements, both on Amazon and in the scientific lierature. I was encouraged to find that all had convincing evidence for their specific efficacies in controlling blood glucose and enhancing fat metabolism as well as other benefits.

I purchased this product and examples of the others and began taking them the beginning of September; by September 10th, I was already back to my regular 195, without any changes to my diet. At that time, I found and tried several different calorie counting phone apps and settling on one, set out to restrict my calorie intake to under 1500 calories by Zone diet, that being the simplest adaptation of my normal diet. With no history for my normal caloric intake, I can only assume that this is a 500-1000 calorie/day reduction. Even at the higher 1000 calorie/week estimated reduction, my weight reduction should not be more than 2 lbs/week. However, from Sep 11th to Oct 11, my weight reduction has been from 195 lbs to 179 lbs, twice what could be expected, without change to my sedentary activity level.

This miraculous result I credit to this product, in combination with the others, which have worked to improve my mood, and reduce my hunger cravings, making it possible to reduce my food intake and lose weight like no attempt I've made before. My goal, now, is to continue this protocol until I drop below 170, a weight I have not seen since 1980, but which is in sight. In addition, I have experienced a reduction in the incidence of refux and seemingly a relaxing of my hiatal hernia, and reduction in knee pain that might just simply be due to my weight loss.

This being my first use of this product and of any product of this type, I can't claim it is better than any other, but can claim that in combination with the other two, it has worked for me!

Oct. 23rd - 175lbs

Nov. 8th - 169lbs

As I slowly adjusting my calorie intake upward to about 2300, and reaching a low of 157lbs Jan. 5th, I have held my weight just below 160lbs at a calorie intake between 2400 and 2500. I continue to take Berberine and Quercetin with no ill effect. My glucose, lipids, and cholesterol are all normal range, where before, my lipids and cholesterol were high.

I am successfully reversing my diabetes through diet and supplements like this Berberine, and bitter melon, and ceylon cinnamon. The best that could be accomplished with Metformin and Glipizide was an A1C of over 9. With diet, a weight loss of 50 pounds and these supplements, my A1C is now 7. I feel that the Berberine is the most important element in this process as I have been taking it the longest.

I get frustrated when reviews tell of an accomplishment but don't tell what they did, so my weight loss was a modified paleo/Atkins way of eating. I eat high, healthy fat, moderate protein, and low carb/very low sugar. It was surprisingly easy.

I like this brand of Berberine because the only added ingredients are gelatin and rice powder with no magnesium stearate. I also like to support small companies. This one has reached out with nice follow up emails so I would think customer service would be excellent.

I have swallowed many supplements in my life, but none that have thrilled me this much! Weighed ourselves on 6/2/18. He weighed 274 and I weighed 227. Berberine was added to our diet 6/9/18. We generally took two capsules daily, one after lunch and one after dinner. Weighed ourselves on same scales yesterday; he weighed 259 and I weighed 221. We are also very active these days, but weight loss has never been so quick and easy! Also taking iodine, but we had been taking that for awhile. From research I had read I was looking for a smaller dose capsule (300 - 500 mg) to take with each meal. But I will stick with this brand due to our successes!

This product does what it promises. It helps to lower blood sugar levels. Although it is only been about 10 days, my BS are lower by about 10-30 points with no other changes in diet or medication.

Blood sugar is down! I'm taking this three times a day with meals. I also added apple cider vinegar at night before bed. My blood sugar in the morning is now below 100. I share this with a friend to help her get her sugar under control and hopefully she can stop her metforman. Too bad berberine is not well publicized for blood sugar control because it really works. My 6.7 a1c I'm sure will go down on my next blood draw next month because my twice daily testing is now all in non diabetic range. I do not want to take prescription drugs and this is the answer.

UPDATE - My a1c test results came in today (6/23/17) at 5.8! I can't believe it! I'm not sure if berberine is solely responsible because I also use apple cider vinegar with meals and cut out carbs by trying to follow the Paleo diet as much as as can. My goal was not to need meds to control my blood sugar and by golly I did it. I will continue to use berberine and apple cider vinegar and a caveman diet. I hope to beat diabetes altogether. Not bad for a 67 year old woman! Also, my doc told me i lost 20 lbs and that's a plus I didn't expect.

I am very pleased with "We Like Vitamins" Berberine and it has helped my sugar readings since I started taking it 3 years ago. Once it was not available on Amazon so I used another brand and my numbers went up! Not only have I taken this brand I have shared with many of my fellow diabetes friends to take Berberine and make sure it is the "We Like Vitamins" BRAND! Even my doctor is sharing this with his patients with excellent results. Keep up the good works in helping keeping us folks with diabetes with good numbers!

Order 2-26-2019 and I received today 2-27-2019.

Bottle is marked Made in the USA. Expiration date is Jan/2023. I think this is the still the cheapest in Amazon but please correct me if I am wrong. It is actually 450mg per capsule because the bottle marked 900 mg per serving; (2 x450 mg= 900 mg); therefore, the capsule is not 900 mg but 450 mg. The capsule does not have marked for 900 mg or 450 mg).

The capsule is white and I opened it up and it is yellow power, I tasted the yellow power and it is very bitter. It is so bitter, I brushed my tongue many times and the bitter taste still there. Because of that I think this is by far the cheapest and good quality Berberine I can get in Amazon. If not, please let me know.

I am Diabetic and I will update 3 months later on my results. Thanks.

this is my third order of this compamys berberine. If you are concerned about your health you must control your insulin spikes, and berberine is an effective tool. Limit your refined carbs, get moving a bit, take berberine. I'm a bit of a supplement guru..in that I have over 35 years of research and application. What you must realize is that supplements are not like drugs that give immediate short term results, often with multiple side effects. the value of supplementation is not what you feel, but what you won't feel later!
