So, I, like many buyers on the site, obsess over the reviews posted for items on Amazon. They definitely make or break the deal. I can see a product I feel like I'd absolutely love; but, if there's a particular negative review that points out some random issue, I'll spend a good twenty minutes re-thinking my decision and scrolling through the rest of the reviews feverishly in a need to assure myself that I'm making the right decision.

I noticed that a common complaint with this product was that it wasn't sturdy enough (as in it didn't hold its shape/stand on its own properly), and the material was sub-par. So I was a little wary at first, especially because the product claimed to have been updated but I couldn't tell whether the negative review(s) I read were about the new version or the old one. I went with my gut and bought this product (I had already bought the Back Seat Organizer [ Premium Quality Backseat Car Organizer With Bonus Kick Mat Seat Back Protector By RoadPal With Built-In iPad/Tablet Holder Cargo Storage For Baby Stroller & Kid Travel Accessories Toys Bottles Books ] from this same company a few days before and absolutely loved it too, so I figured I could trust the seller).

SO YES, THIS IS REVIEWING THE NEW, UPDATED VERSION OF THE ORGANIZER, W/THE WATERPROOF COVER INCLUDED.

I absolutely love this organizer! It's not too big and fits nicely in my Nissan Sentra. It seems to be pretty well-built, definitely good quality, especially for the price paid (yay for the update!) The side pockets are sturdy, some are a bit tight but they're meant to hold slimmer items, so that means things won't fall out so easily. Two sturdy 'panels' are included to place on the bottom of the large compartments, to keep the organizer standing and hold its shape; also, an additional, optional smaller panel is included that attaches to the walls of one inside compartment with velcro (which is what makes it 3 compartments instead of two; again, it's optional, if you want two big compartments then just don't use it). All of these pieces (the velcro-attachable panel and two sturdy panels) can be removed and left standing in the organizer when folded up for storage. I like the folding storage feature, that way if I don't need it but want to keep it in the car, I can easily fold up the organizer and put it off to the side (and I don't have to worry about it unfolding, because there are plastic snap clips that hold the organizer together when folded). I probably won't use the 'waterproof cover' that's included with the packaging (it's basically just a sheet of nylon material that goes over the top with holes for the handles, not necessary in my small car; maybe for carrying out in the rain?) but it's a nice addition. Also, love the little adhesive pad that comes with the organizer, it seems pretty strong; I'll stick it on my dash later. I put some items in the organizer for size comparison (some of which were bought on Amazon, links down below). Overall, nice product, well-made and definitely useful! I'll write an update if anything major changes (feel free to let me know if y'all want more pictures).

2 fit perfectly in 2016 Acura MDX

I've bought 3 of these now... 1 in the trunk of my car 2012 Acura TL, and just bought 2 more for my wife's 2016 Acura MDX. I could fit a 2nd in my car, just don't need it.

These are sturdy and well made. There are cheaper organizers out there, but these got great reviews and weren't breaking the bank either. 2 of these fit perfectly side by side in my wife's SUV. The 3rd row seats can still be used with these in place. They also have velcro patches on the bottom so they stick to the carpet and don't move around.

I just made a grocery run this morning and was able to fit a nearly all of my bags in the 2 combined units... probably 12-15 bags plus 2 gallons of milk. These are sturdy enough to pick up with all your groceries in them and carry them into the house to unload... assuming you don't have a crazy amount of weight in them.

When you have bigger stuff to carry and don't need these... they collapse down very easily and will store away in the small hidden storage area in the SUV (where you might put jumper cables, etc.).

At first this seems smaller than I would have hoped, but i quickly filled it up with stuff and still had lots of room in my hatchback trunk for groceries and other things. there are tons of storage pockets that you can fit in lots of tools and whatnot. i like having some spare stuff in my car for my crossbars/straps for various things i put on top of my car and it's a lot faster having them all in one spot i can get to, or having spare parts if something breaks or needs to be replaced during a road trip. great price and it didn't smell as badly as the reviews had mentioned. to be safe, i took it outside, hosed it off and sprayed it with vinegar... it had a pretty strong plasticy smell, but in my car i dont notice anything, and definitely no dog poop

Works well and is nice quality! Used this to make a roadside emergency kit for our delivery drivers while they travel on remote New England Mountain roads. Plenty of room for a full emergency survival kit.

It was able to fit:

A small survival sleeping bag

a good flashlight

LED road flares

a collapsible survival shovel

a 30ft 4.5 ton towing cable with hooks on both ends

Awesome organizer. Sturdy, lots of exterior pockets. Options for the interior pocket layout. I use it in the bed of my truck under my tonneau cover.

The original organizer I received had one of the Velcro pieces sewed on the wrong side and I didn't receive a waterproof cover. I emailed the company and got a quick response. They were happy to send me out a new organizer and informed me that they weren't including the waterproof cover because people didn't seem to use it / be pleased with it. She went out of her way to search for a waterproof cover for me and send with the new organizer. Excellent organizer, wonderful customer service!

Great way to control the sometimes unruly plastic shopping / grocery bags

This organizer is well made, the design works and the product accomplishes it's goal, which is to put order to normally unruly plastic shopping bags. Here are the things about the organizer that I like.
-It easily folds down compact and lies flat and out of the way when "knocked down". Once its set up, I really don't see a reason to knock it down unless the entire rear area is needed for hauling. I leave this set up in the rear of my wife's SUV.
- When set up, it's sturdy and it's compartments are just the right size for individual plastic grocery bags filled to capacity. The large compartment, when using the dividers, will hold two plastic grocery bags.
- The dividers are easy to move as needed and once placed, strong enough to hold the bags in place. I can see how some would move the divider often, based upon the size of what you are carrying.
- It has a non skid pad on the corners on the underside, so when its set on the carpet, it doesn't slide around.
- It has two adjustable tie down straps, in addition to the well placed tie down hooks on the sides. I haven't needed to use the tie downs but they are handy. Also, when not used the tie downs are out of the way, hanging on the ends.
- There are pouches on the sides, which are handy to keep items such as small hand tools, etc. so they aren't inside the unit, but still easy to retrieve when you want to keep the stuff together.
- The height of the side walls of the unit are tall enough to do their job, but not wastefully tall which wouldn't really serve any purpose.
- It's nice to use a product which obviously was designed by someone who uses it and who refined it to make it as beneficial as possible to the end user and buyer.

What would I change about the organizer? At first I wondered if it would be large enough, but having used it several times, it has held up to 6 plastic bags of items from the store. I guess if your shopping trips involve large volume purchases, order two of these so you have enough room for the things being hauled home.

It's nice to set gallons of milk in the organizer and slide the divider over and have them sitting right where you put them when you get home. In the past, prior to the organizer, the gallons of milk would be rolling around in the back before getting home. Not any more. They stay where you put them, which I would say is the entire point of the organizer......

This organizer product does just what it is supposed to do. It gives you a place to transport grocery bags so when you get home, the contents are actually in the bags and not all over the back of the SUV. We used to tie all of the bags shut to keep them contained, which often means trashing the bags to get them open. Now, you can just stand them in the organizer and that's right where they will be when you get where you are going.

It was a good deal made even better because it was on Amazon's Daily deals at 50% off. I should have bought two of them.......

Purchased this to hold groceries in my trunk when I go to bulk buy places like Sams club, because I hate grabbing a bunch of cardboard boxes that'll sit at my house forever. This works wonderfully and I've even started getting paper bags at my local grocery store and once i get to my car I place all the groceries in this and fold up the paper bags to reuse at the next grocery visit. Then I just grab this by the handles and carry all my groceries into the house in one trip, which isn't that truly the American Dream? And then return this to my trunk and forget about it until my next shopping trip. No more busted bags, no more groceries rolling around my trunk. Win win win

So strong. I love this product I have bought a total of four now the last one was actually in a lightning deal and got five dollars off it was great I am impressed with how much weight it supports however I did have one handle rip on me because I think I had way too much stuff in there because I was using it for my automotive emergency roadside Kit and I had too many tools and other things in there it probably weighed over 40 pounds and the handle ripped. But I do believe that was my fault not anything against the product I am hoping it will be in the lightning deals again because I want to get a couple more for my husband"˜s truck and car he has seen how they hold up so well and how much stuff I can fit in there and how easy it is to pick up and move around he wants to try one out also this time when the last one just came they added some bonus products in there of a shammy cloth and a small desk brush which was really cool

I ordered this organizer because I'm a teacher and a housewife, so I always carry either folders with papers or/and supermarkets bags. And I hated how everything moved around while I was driving. Now with this organizer everything is properly stored in one corner. It has compartments and I don't use them all. There's Always space for more. I have a SUB so it doesn't use my whole trunk space. However, my daughter has a small car and we tried it there. It fits perfectly and still leaves some some free space. The quality is superior, it looks like it belongs to the car and it's easy to fold. I love it. It's what I wanted and more. Totally recommend it.

Perfect For Small Cars Too!

I have a 370z which is a small, very impractical sports car that really needs better trunk space, but that's the price I guess. But this car trunk organizer is absolutely perfect. I did a lot of research between which I should get but I'm super happy I settled with this one. I was thinking of getting the one with the blacktop cover but my back windshield is 15% tinted so it wouldn't really make a difference (could always put a black towel if needed). The bottom of the organizer does have the rubbered feet/velcro mix which I have no experiences of the organizer moving at all. Now I can organize all my random junk, emergency roadside & first aid kit, stuffed animals, go-bag, toolbox, box of nothings, change of clothes bag, bag of plastic bags all in one place. Finally I have a little more space for my groceries. Still gotta put the TP & paper towels in the passenger seat though. :)
