In its golden age tanto was used as an obligatory arms set for samurai. In Japanese, the tanto is a short sword that accurately reflects the essence of it. One interesting fact in the history of tanto, it was forbidden to use the knife for household needs, and it was also used for the world-famous Japanese ritual "seppuku". Of course, GrandWay 2307 RGP only vaguely resembles its progenitor, constructively knives and materials used for their manufacturing are completely different.

The blade of the knife is more Americanized with sharp bend of the line on the cutting edge. Descents are easily curved from one-third of the blade.

The handle of the knife is closer to a rectangular cross section and is very simple - two wooden spacers are applied on the shank of the knife to give an additional size, which is made from parachute cord winding. To prevent slipping of the cord, it's limited with brass bolster and pommel of the same material, it also has a sword knot hole.
