This off loading shoe insert can be fully customized to one's pressure relief needs. It can be adjusted to relieve pressure for specific injuries and added to a boot or shoe, turning them into a pressure relief shoe/boot when post-operative treatment is needed. One can customize the pressure relief by removing the pegs from the insole as needed for foot relief. The removable pegs allow for off-loading of wounds and ulcerations of the foot. To use this insert, one should first remove any existing insole from the post-op shoe and replace it with the offloading shoe insert, blue side up. Then one should wrap the affected area of the foot in a film of some sort and use the included marker pen to mark the area of the foot where the offloading is needed. Then press the foot against the insert to help determine which pegs to remove. It helps to slowly twist the pegs out of place so you don't tear the blue cushioning. The brace also includes a stabilizer board that one can stick to the peg side of the insole to help prevent bordering pegs from collapsing. The peg assist insole is a versatile solution for those who hope to remain mobile while keeping pressure off of the foot. It reduces pressure by as much as 60% while allowing one to still be mobile. This off loading shoe insert is constructed of an EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), a foam material that is firm enough for comfortable movement. The post-surgical shoe insert can be added to square-toed, pressure relieving shoes or boots. This enables the post-op shoe insole to help with many conditions including diabetic ulcers, plantar ulcers, bruised heel, caring for the foot after surgery, heels spurs, or after various plantar surgeries. Available in sizes ranging from S to XL. Sizes are based on foot length in inches.
