I bought a very firm, high end memory king sized foam mattress about two years ago, and despite it being "perfect" for my body type and stomach sleeping, each morning, I'd wake up with sore back and hips, sometimes with a numb arm, and the sense that my sleep quality wasn't as good as it ought to be.

I chalked all this up to being overweight, middle aged, stressed, not enough exercise, etc etc.

Then I got fed up with feeling crappy all the time and decided to make a change.

I wasn't eager to drop $1500 on another mattress. So, coming off an online review for this product, I decided, "what the hell, let's give it a try, it's less than $80."

I was skeptical, to say the least. I'd had foam toppers before and always found them to be less than satisfying.

I have one word to say about this one.

Flipping miracle.
(Ok, that's two words).

I've had it on my bed for four days. The first night, I laid down and felt muscles relaxing because, for the first time, they felt gently cradled.

This morning I woke up and had no pain at all, felt rested, rejuvenated, cheerful. I noticed my posture is better and I feel taller.

It works well in any position. I tried side sleeping last night and had zero problems. For me, it's just thick enough without being so thick that I sink into it and can't turn over.

I'm a little worried that long term use will compress it and make it less useful, because the foam is very light and easily squished. But even if I have to buy one a year, that's about $0.21 a night for a huge improvement. I can live with that.

I'm a picky sleeper. My somewhat of a pillow-top mattress wasn't doing its job. I had been sleeping on top of a down comforter for a while now until i decided to try a memory foam topper (Honestly, it was either memory foam or a pillow-top mattress cover). I carefully looked around the internet and after debating between several choices/prices...I am happy to say that i'm very glad that i chose this one. King size means I have to pay more which is a pain sometimes. The price on this had me worried because i thought it wasn't going to be great quality. But i have no complaints whatsoever!

Now lets cut the chit-chat. This came pretty quickly. Once i opened up the package, i was quite surprised at how raunchy it smelled. I'm not sensitive to scents, but this one was pretty....raunchy and chemically. I sat there scratching my head, wondering how long this was going to take to air out. But I'm impatient, so i took off the plastic right away and I was very impressed how well it rolled out. The color doesn't really match the model used in the photo advertisement, but that's not important. I placed this baby on top of the mattress, then used a simple mattress topper (without fluff or cushion) and finally added the sheets and blankets. My 3 year old was very excited to lay on it! She was really happy and I was too! The smell didn't bother anymore and it was super comfy. Whenever i lay straight on my back, i feel tension around my lower back in the pelvic area and knees. But i don't feel that at all with this memory foam topper! Woohoo!

The first time we slept on this, my daughter slept a full 10 hours! She's never done that! And neither one of us were sweating in the middle of the night. That was another main concern about getting this. I live in the SW part of the United States and It gets VERY HOT here. But thankfully, we don't have to worry about overheating with this memory foam topper. I am quite pleased.

UPDATE (1 MONTH LATER)-- No complaints at all. I've over heated only a couple of times, but that has nothing to do with the foam. I tend to have that problem no matter what. My body feels very refreshed every time i wake up. I actually sleep really well on my back thanks to this memoryfoam topper. Never in my life have I slept one full night on my back.

Another thing i want to mention. I have a habit of always sleeping on one side of the bed. One thing i was going to be worried about was that there might be an indention from where i sleep. But nope! Even with this low-priced topper, it's been working really well!! I don't regret this purchase
1.5 YEAR UPDATE: I hate to say this, but I don't think the quality of this product is meant to last long. Not too long ago, I've had to place a long pillow between me and anyone who sleeps in the same bed (in this case, my now 4 year old). This memory foam conducts heat across really easily now. This is not good since I can't sleep while feeling hot. I mean, I did get what I paid for (less than $100 for KNG size).
I'm 12 weeks (~3 months) pregnant now with my second. I struggle really hard to sleep lately. I toss and turn and my body just can't stay asleep. It's understandable to blame the pregnancy for this, but after sleeping in my in-law's guest room at their house, I slept a full night for the first time! So unfortunately, I believe the quality that this memory foam mattress topper has isn't meant to last long. It's gotten too soft i've noticed. I have flipped and turned it around, which has "somewhat" helped...but not enough. It's just not worth it anymore and I already ordered Tempur-Pedic's supreme mattress topper. This may be a good topper for a guest room that isn't always used, but I would not recommend it for a bed that's used every night.

BACKSTORY: I have a 22 year old king size mattress and I have a relatively decent pillowtop mattress topper on it. If this was a queen it would be super saggy in the middle, but since it's a king, it has a dual box spring which has resulted in a hump running down the middle of the bed. I spent a little too much on Xmas, so I couldn't get an actual memory foam mattress. I decided to get something relatively cheap as a topper to last me 6 months or so.

Ok people, I am so excited to go to sleep tonight!! As with many of the reviewers here, I was crazy nervous buying one of these online and especially THIS one as it is literally one of the less expensive ones on amazon. I kept having the argument asking - is this the deal of the century or is this gonna be one of those internet purchases where you get what you pay for? After reading all the reviews for this one like 5 times, I ignored my anxiety and bought it. OMG!! Got the 2inch king size topper and within minutes of unwrapping it, it was completely flat and true to size. NO ODOR AT ALL! I'm posting photos of it in the box to it flat on the bed. (Took less than 10 minutes btw) As far as firmness goes, this is NOT the topper for people who are looking for a super firm memory foam. It is definitely plush and cushy, which is exactly what I was looking for, so YAY! I put this on top of the pillow top mattress topper and my deep pocket sheets fit perfectly. I'll give an update in a day, a week and then again in a month and let y'all know if I'm still in love with my 75.00 purchase after sleeping on it for an extended period of time.

FYI: Paid full price, no freebies here.

UPDATE NIGHT 1:

I'll address the "cooling" aspect first. I did notice it was cool to the touch when I laid down on it without sheets. However, it doesn't really transfer once the sheets are on. This isn't really a problem for me since I'm usually always cold plus I keep my house at 60-65 in winter and 68-70 in summer. As far as the "hump" in the middle goes that I mentioned at the beginning...the bottom side of the topper has absorbed it and now the top side is completely level!! Sooo happy! Finally, I'm a stomach sleeper and usually lay on one of my arms under my pillow. Most nights my arm "falls asleep" and goes numb. Not last night! So merry Xmas to me!!

UPDATE: NIGHT NINE:

I am just as happy with my purchase now as I was the first night. I forgot to mention that I have a big lovable pooch that likes to toss and turn. Usually I would wake every time she would move. Not anymore! There is no motion transfer (or at least very little) and the only time she wakes me up now is when her snoring gets outta control!! As I wrote before, the is NOT the topper for someone looking for super firm and when it comes time for me to buy an actual memory foam mattress, I'll probably want something a little firmer myself, but for a temporary fix, it has exceeded my expectations. I'll post another update in about a month or so. Happy sleeping! :)

This is in no way memory foam. I was in the bedding business before I retired and I can tell you this is just cheap foam. Memory foam will hold an imprint when you press down and slowly recover. This does no such thing. It in my opinion is false advertising. Amazon made good on it; but still it was a nuisance to receive and have to dispose of it. Very disappointing!!! Soft cheap foam which offers no support!

A Great Topper For The Price

One of the best things about customer reviews is that you generally can make good buying decisions based on others experince. I would like to share my trial and error experiences with mattress toppers. I have had 4 inch ones all the way down to I inch ones. Generally, the thicker the topper the "hotter" it will seem to you over time. The other decision is whether or not you like your current mattress. The thicker topper (three or four inches) dend to let you sink down in it and you don't end up even feeling your mattress. They are also "hoter" over time. My advice is if you like your current mattress, get a one or two inch topper. You gret the softness, minimize the heat and it will work. If you don't like your current mattress, the 3 or 4 inch topper will usually keep you fron feeling your mattress. Note that the 3 or 4 inch topper is vey thick feeling and if you have any muscular disability it will be difficult for you to move around your bed when you are in it. If you have a very soft mattress the thicker toppers will add to that softness and probably not be good.

This topper I got only a few days ago. It very poorly packed ( the tape was coming off the top and bottom) but the inside was tightly wrapped in shrink wrap. However, the shrink wrap had 2 inches on one where the mattress was exposed. I opened it and it was not damaged. The topper has light blue and white "swirrels" in it. The white was a bit off color. Not a true bright white. I think this may has been caused by the air getting to it in shipment. It was not bad enough to send back. The manufacturer may have done this deliberately to let the
topper "breathe" and the gases out. This brings us to a very important fact and what you must do to fully enjoy the topper. All toppers give off non-harmful gases. You need to set then somewhere outside under cover so they can breathe. This is called "off gasing". Failure to do this may cause the gases to get trapped inside when you put the mattress cover on. It is not dangerous but may be annoying. the price of the same size toppers can vary depending on where you buy it. Only you can decide what your budget allows. Good shopping

Disappointed! It's been a month since I received this mattress topper. It's really comfortable and adds a good layer to my bed, BUT the intense chemical smell has yet to go away. I aired it out for 3 days, which seemed like enough time, but I can still smell the strong pungent chemical odor through a mattress protector and my fitted sheet. If the smell was harmless I would deal with it... maybe air it out again. But at this point, I don't know what this chemical smell could be doing to my health.. Conclusion: I had read the reviews prior to buying and thought I would be fine with this mattress topper and the smell would go away... obviously not.. do not purchase this. I'm warning you.. smell will give you a crazy headache.

I have slept only a couple nights on it so far.. I will update in the future after some more wear!

Pros:
- mine didn't come with a smell, crease, or any tears. perfect condition.
- it easily fits under most mattress protectors as well!
- very durable.
- great quality for the price.
- perfect for side sleepers! it feels so soft :)

Cons:
- there is a slight discoloration after two nights, though it doesn't bother me. No weird smells or feeling along with it. I thought keeping a white mattress protector on top would protect it, but perhaps it's a temperature thing.

New or Used foam pad?

Foam Bedding arrived and I was initially concerned because it was wrapped in Saran wrapped and has a medium size tear in it. After unrolling the foam pad I noticed small debris on it. The foam looks clean and there's no odor. I feel that the item is used and I'm afraid to put it on my bed. I will return once I figure how to get it back in the box. Frustrating. I wanted to refresh my sleeping space for the new year.

This topper is amazing for any price point but especially considering how affordable it was. I had my doubts about it being genuine memory foam but it truly is. The instant i unwrapped it, it immediately puffed up. Another great thing was that it had basically no odor at all, and what very little odor it did have, went away by the following morning. Plus the second i put my sheets over it, i couldn't smell it anyway. I've had it for about a month or two now and it still looks and feels just as good as it did the first day i got it. Im highly impressed and happy with this product and have already recommended it to some of my family because this saved me from buying a whole new matress.

Bought for my RV

I bought this to put in my RV on my short queen sized bed. It came quick and was compactly packaged. It had a smell, but after a few hours venting, it was fine. It is very comfortable and makes the brand new rv mattress better for my needs.
