Great budget buy for home, work, and travel.by AQ (5 out of 5 stars)
January 10, 2017
Being one of the only IT guys in the family and among my group of friends; I often get asked questions on what are good tech products, after all some of these items are usually expensive and no one likes wasting money. With the past holiday season, I helped pick out laptops for nieces and nephews for school, gaming laptops for the friends, a custom made pc, and a slick new Macbook Pro. With all these new systems being bought, everyone's next question is "What accessories should I purchase??", I always suggest that anyone buying a laptop at least get a wireless mouse.
I have used wireless mice for years; there are great mice, good mice, and downright awful mice. Most of the choices out there on the market are going to be based on what you personally like, what feels good to you, and what functions well. I do a fair amount of travel for work and I have certain criteria for equipment to make it into my travel bag; after all I will be carrying that equipment around the airport from anywhere between 6-12 hours, so no junk allowed!!
For a wireless mouse I look for the following:
* Use on any surface laser
* Skids that slide well with ease on multiple surfaces
* Long term battery life
* Small USB receiver
* Comfort and size
* And above all else PRICE
The VicTsing MM057 checks off all of my criteria and more! On top of having all the features I require from above it also has:
* six (6) buttons, two of which are custom programmable which means you can make them do whatever you'd like!!
* On the Fly Adjustable DPI - this means you can adjust the sensitivity whenever you'd like, which is great if you like to play video games, this feature can come in handy.
* 2.4GHz wireless with a 15-foot reach, so you can easily use this for a media center pc while sitting comfortably on the sofa.
VicTsing got it right with the MM057, it is super comfortable in the hand, it's large enough to provide good support to help prevent hand fatigue, and groves for your thumb and ring and pinky fingers (sorry lefties this is right handed only), it has a really soft rubber coating, smooth gliding action, and an ultra crisp scrolling wheel and button clicks. I tested the MM057 on PC and Mac, it was plug and play on both, which means you will be using your new mouse in seconds. I like to carry my laptop around with me throughout the day and the MM057 worked on every surface I put it on which allowed me to be truly mobile and move about how I wanted without having to carry around a mouse pad and worry about a flat surface, the MM057 will work on your jeans just fine if you are so inclined.
Another major plus is using a single AA battery as the power source, not only are these more common to find around the office/home than AAA but in my experience the AA tend to last longer in mice and you only need one versus the two you would usually need for AAA. There is convenient storage for the Micro USB receiver on the bottom of the mouse, so if you choose to unplug the receiver there is a safe place to store it so it does not get lost. The adaptor is a great size, it is slim-line enough to leave plugged in all the time, even when you need to carry your laptop around in your bag or briefcase without fear of it breaking off.
This is one of my favorite mice; I give it 5 out of 5 because it deserves it. It is a great mouse for a great price. I recommend them to friends and family, and VicTsing stands behind their products with a 12-month warranty. Buy with confidence, great product, great price, and fast shipping.
Cheap and functional for the light computer user

I'm a gamer, and this was meant more for my girlfriend who does simple browsing and maybe typing some documents.
For me, this would definitely not be enough, but I would obviously go for something more involved - like a mouse with 500 buttons and serves me Mountain Dew and orders pizza for me.
But if you're like my absolutely terrifying girlfriend, and you do basic things on your pc or mac, this definitely works and it's cheap. No problems after over a year of ownership.
Oh, if you have hands the size of Donald Trump's, you may enjoy it more. People of the large-handed sort are going to find it uncomfortable. It's pretty compact.
The perfect wireless mouse

I've purchased no less than a dozen wireless mice over the years and nothing else comes close to this one.
ERGONOMICS/COMFORT: I'm a man with medium sized hands and it is difficult to find a mouse that isn't too large or too small. Fortunately for me this mouse fits PERFECTLY in my hand, allowing me to easily rest my ring and pinky fingers on it. In terms of ergonomics it is one of the most comfortable mice I've ever used, be it wired or not.
DESIGN/BUILD: The scroll wheel isn't loud and has a nice texture to it. It's also very responsive, which is hard to find in a lower budget mouse. The left side buttons are positioned in a good spot so that I don't have to make an effort to use either of them. There is a DPI button located in the top center of the mouse. Often these buttons can be hit on accident during regular use-especially when operating the mouse wheel- but it is low enough that it is never a problem.
The top of the mouse has a smooth, plastic matte finish on the that helps prevents the hand from getting hot or sweaty. The thumb grip is covered by a textured rubber material that feels nice quite nice to the touch. The right side of the mouse, where the ring and pinky fingers rest, is a normal plastic.
The mouse itself does feel a little heavier than your average wireless mouse, but I think that is a positive thing. Very light mice feel cheap. Most of the weight is centered around the palm where the battery is placed.
BATTERY LIFE: I purchased this mouse back in February and I've only had to change the battery once, or twice at most. It is honestly so few that I can't remember using a mouse that had such longevity. What's especially surprising about this fact is there is no On/Off button. It simply turns itself off after being idle for a short while and immediately turns itself back on when you press a button.
EASE OF USE/SETUP: Stick the receiver into your computer, press a button on the mouse, and you're done. It's that simple. The receiver is also extremely good and I never lose tracking.
DURABILITY: I easily used this mouse for roughly 1500 hours since I bought it. It isn't uncommon for my wireless mice to literally fall apart in the span of a year or two. Typically the side or bottom panels start to come off and anything that is glued to it, especially rubber components, begin to peel away. Not ONE part of the surface level components failed me in that time.
However, the left mouse began to double click at random after a year. I consider myself a power user when it comes to computers and mice. In the time it takes an average person to reach 1000 hours I do it in a fraction of the time. Despite the failure in the left mouse I still instantly purchased a new one when the problems arose. Why? Because for the price, performance, and quality this was a minor inconvenience. I've had numerous $60+ wired mice have double click problems that weren't half as good as this one.
CONCLUSION: The combination of the price, build quality, battery life, ergonomics, and functionality makes this the best wireless mouse I've ever used. Period. In fact I'd put it in the top 3 best all around, with ease. Even with the left mouse failure after a year/~1500 hours of use I can't help but give this mouse a five star review. If, however, it was a more expensive mouse ($30+) I would knock off at least one star.
DONT BE AN IDIOT LIKE ME....

I got this mouse because I needed one that was great for precision selecting and one that was also comfortable with the expanded place for my pinkie and ring finger. (Plus its beautiful!!!)
Well I got it in and was so excited only to be completely let down because the pointer was "jerky" on the screen and it was hard to maneuver.... BUT I am absolutely ECSTATIC to report that after a month of using it I FINALLY realized this morning that there are PROTECTOR FILMS ON THE BOTTOM of the mouse!!!! After removing them I am so happy to say that after going through 6 mouses in 3 months I am finally COMPLETELY SATISFIED with this one!!! Moral of my story... DON'T BE A IDIOT LIKE ME AND REMOVE THE FILM PROTECTORS :)
Just as responsive as the corded version!

I bought this to replace my corded version, which had gotten banged up over time and needed replacing. I decided on the corded model previously so I never had to worry about a battery dying, or having any lag in mouse movement. I'm glad I decided to give this a try based on the prior reviews. Connecting it took no effort, as it was literally plug and play without having to go through any pairing process. It is just as responsive as the corded version, and I haven't noticed any lags or random pointer movement. As my attached picture shows, this has the same specs as the corded model. What is different is that the corded model has lights under the wheel as well as CPI button to give visual feedback of which CPI setting the mouse is set to. This does not have lights, but obviously for battery conservation. It's not hard to know which CPI setting its on, however. What's nice is that every time I boot the computer back up I don't have to go through the CPI settings again, as it remembers your preferred setting. You do have to click a mouse button to wake it up after a short period of non-use, but again...another battery conservation technique. What I do like better with this model, other than the obvious wirelessness, is that is has a little extra weight to it (thanks to the AA battery I'm sure) and a heavier click to make it feel more substantial. Hope this helps with your decision making!
It will go faster

If you're anything like me you get this mouse, plug it in and go. You don't bother with the User Manual. Who needs that anyway? Well Out of the Box this mouse is not fast like I'm used to. I have my mouse pointer speed set all the way as high as it will go in the Control Panel. But this thing kept dragging along too slow! It turns out there is a thing called CPI and that's the little button on top. It can actually be used to adjust the pointer speed. Go ahead and look at your manual, there are 5 speeds. The default is the second to the slowest. You press the CPI button and count the number of flashes. That's the setting you are currently on. Keep pressing and the setting will change until your mouse speed is lightening fast. And this mouse "falls asleep" after a period of non-use. That's why I got it. I'm tired of my batteries going dead all the time. That CPI button is how I wake the mouse up. That takes some getting used to. But you know what? It's doing it's job!
Great bargin, annoyances are minor and may not be annoyances for you

I'm comparing this to the logitech M705 that I've had at my desk for years. It is very, very similar in size and shape. The only difference in the shape is that there is a little ridge on the right side to rest your ring finger on. The buttons aren't quite the same, though, the forward/back (thumb buttons on the left side) are in slightly different positions and it's a bit more difficult to determine which button you are pushing by feel. It moves around more smoothly on my desktop surface, but that might be because my M705 is several years old and has taken a lot of abuse.
The DPI button sits right about where the "freewheel selector" button is on my M705. I don't use that much, but it's nice when I need it. The MM057 doesn't have that. Instead it has a DPI selector button that is way too easy to press. I'd prefer it be much more out of the way. BUT, if you are going to be continually adjusting it (as in for gaming or graphic design) it's a very handy place for the button to be.
Since it wakes up with a button press that's a bit of a problem for my purpose - a laptop mouse that goes into my bag. I am taking the battery out to keep it from continuously waking up, although it seems to go right back to sleep because it doesn't sense the USB connector. I might not really need to take the battery out, but when I do it's a pain - the fit is extremely tight for a AA battery.
With direct line of sight to the adapter I noticed no hiccups or slowdowns.
You can quickly adjust the DPI down by clicking the button four times or up by clicking once. You don't have to wait for the flashes, so it can be done quickly in either direction and without looking.
If you like the M705 this is a worthy replacement (at first look, anyway, not sure if it'll last years like my logitech has) because the size and shape are nearly identical. I have huge hands (3xl or 4xl in gloves) and I can use this fine even though it's a smallish mouse. I use fingertips to control the mouse, if you are a whole-arm kind of person with really big hands this might be annoying.
The summary is that this mouse has a good reputation for a reason. It's a solid mouse at a really good price.
Oh, an afterthought: This is not a true six-button mouse. It has six buttons, yes, but one of them does not go to the computer as it is used to adjust the DPI. There is a middle-button that clicks when you push the wheel down (just like the M705). The scroll wheel is "faster" and the bumps are "shorter" than the M705 if that makes any sense.
UPDATE: USB Receiver Stopped Working After Just 2 Weeks

UPDATE: VicTsing reached out to me after seeing my review. Their customer service is phenomenal. After troubleshooting my mouse to see what the issue may be. Tried replacing batteries, resyncing the USB, restarting the laptops, ect. After extinguishing all potential issues they asked me for a picture of the serial number to make sure this did not happen to future customers and sent me a newer model of theirs. It turns out I may have gotten one of the few bad mouses (or maybe my laptops are picky and simply like the newer one). This model words perfectly for both of my laptops and feels even better than the one before. Thank you VicTsing, if I ever need another mouse in the future I will definitely stick with you.
I added two pictures to show the differences between the original one (left) and the newer model (right). I honestly suggest that you go with whichever model works for you and your laptop, you will not be disappointed.
Well, I got this mouse and began using it the beginning of January of this Year (2018). It worked alright on both my work laptop (HP) and my personal laptop (Macbook). I was not used to the tracking it has (it is fast) and had to get used to slowing down my mouse movement. I have used this mouse maybe 3 times since getting it. I went to use it today and it would not connect to my laptops. The mouse would blink for a few seconds and then go off, never syncing with the USB receiver. I changed the battery thinking maybe it was dead. When the battery was replaced it still simply blinked for a few seconds and turned off. This mouse is so cheap that I am debating whether to even bother with returning it or just throwing it in the trash.
Good. I recommend this

As much as I like technology, I also try to avoid setting up things so I can benefit from technology.
It took me a LONG while to finally break down and get a mouse for my Mac Book Pro. I have been using the laptop for over 10 years and honestly, I don't mind using the touch-pad and went without a mouse for over 10 years.
However, one day, I was curious. And decided to get this mouse since it was at a good price point, and sometimes my husband uses my laptop and complains about using the touch pad. The set-up to this mouse is painless (I loath setting things up) and done quickly (as long as you have the battery available). I have used this mouse for a while now, and it is holding up. It seems precise for the work I do (spreadsheets, making powerpoint presentations etc).
My hand feels good on the mouse. The ergonomics is sufficient to provide ease and comfort. These days, if I moved my laptop to a different part of the house and forgot to grab the mouse, I will actually get up and go grab the mouse because I like it that much that I would rather walk and get it than to do without it. That itself is a testament to how much I like this mouse.
For the price, your not going to find a better wireless mouse!

Disclaimer: This review focuses on the newer model, and how it fixed most of this models problems.
The simple addition of the on/off switch keeps the mouse from cutting off at random moments, due to this models sleep/wake function. Because of this the start up delay is gone, and the mouse works great! Love the addition of the scroll wheel toggle allowing you to spin at a much faster rate for scrolling through long bodies of text. Mouse buttons feel solid, and dont randomly click just by the weight of your finger being there, and battery life is great. The product runs off a single AA. Additionally, I have larger hands, and these mice are pretty small, but the new model has a much better claw grip that makes it just a little more conformable to hold in my hand.
Overall, the build quality is good, mouse works as expected and your probably not going to find a better wireless mouse for this price.
