Interesting product.

I originally got this thinking it would be a less expensive option of another product that one of my favorite YouTubers raved about. The container itself claims to be a mild cleanser but it did not feel like it cleansed my skin at all. So I thought I would use it to shave with, and that worked ok but I started to feel like it was a pointless extra product because its not like I could skip lotion after my shower. Why not just use by regular body wash? Also, I did feel like my tub was a tiny bit slick whenever I used it. Then it occurred to me that this may work as a oil cleanser to remove makeup. I have long been a double cleanse kind of person- oil to remove makeup (Dermalogica Precleanse, Hado Labo cleansing oil, even coconut oil), then use my facial cleanser. This stuff works great for that purpose. It is a thicker consistency than Precleanse or the Hado Labo but it dissolves all my makeup in the blink of an eye. Even my usual 2 coats of waterproof mascara, gon in about 1.5 pumps of this stuff. I am super pleased with it for that purpose, and what a fantastic price. This huge bottle will last me forever.

After trying numerous products in my 50 years of searching for products that resolve dry, itchy , flaky skin in the winter months., I can say YIPPEE! On a whim I ordered this, the shower creme and the nourishing balm. Immediately I could feel the difference in my skin. This shower oil is awesome. First off, I am one of those people who can not tolerate very many perfumed products. This has a light, clean smell that does not bother me at all. Second, I was worried that it would be a slick, greasy mess in my shower, but it is not. Don't ask me how it can be so wonderful on your skin and not greasy in the tub, but it isn't. It rinses right off your body and down the drain. I have used these three products for over a month"s time, during the dry cold month of December and I can tell you that I have not had any itching or flaking of my calves. Usually by this time of the year it is a disgusting mess when I take off my socks, but alas my skin looks lovey! I am a nurse and my hands are now so moisturized they no longer look like they belong to someone 10 years older than me. Thanks Bioderma! You've saved my skin!

I really like this product. It made my winter skin less dry without lotion but I still need to use lotion. I have bumpy skin on the backs of my arms and this helps me control them. It does not make my bathtub slick when I use it, I really like that. The scent is strong when you are using it but does down to a light barely there scent which is good at work. It has a gardenia type of scent. I would recommend this shower oil and will buy again.

I have common Ichthyosis which is a skin disorder causing dry, scaly skin. Choose an appropriate soap or similar is just a non pleasant adventure. But life will go on so I am taking swimming classes. I love swimming. I just started using Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil for a week and the results are just amazing. I have never experienced the softness and relief this product give to my skin. I even use it in my face. The smell is soft and relaxing. I also use Atoderm cream so the results are even better. I highly recommend this product to everybody who wants to treat their skin appropriately. I am very happy with this shower oil.

Great for dry skin, chafing, eczema and the like. I run a couple miles a day and this stuff really helps my skin stay in good shape after all the sweating and showering that comes from an active lifestyle.

Honestly, the product smells and feels great. The smell is soft, and I cannot smell it on my skin hours later...so it's very subtle. I wish, though, that I could smell it! My skin has been the driest ever this winter. After only one night, my skin already feels so much softer and more moisturized. I can imagine that a few weeks in to using this will make a huge difference! Definitely for you if you are dealing with itchy, flaky, dry winter skin.

Addicted to this stuff now. I put it in my bath, use it to wash and shave my legs, and I love how it makes my skin feel so moisturized and soft. The size is smaller than I expected (should've looked) and I know I'll need to order either a bigger bottle OR make sure I replenish this more frequently. Bioderma is my new go-to for skincare, even my face.

Read comments before purchasing and some complained about the smell. It is a bit strong at first but quickly goes away. When I first applied was worried it would leave skin feeling greasy but was happy to discover it does not. Great moisturizer, lasts all day. Will continue to purchase.

Not a Shower Oil

This is not a shower oil in the conventional sense like Neutrogena Body Oil, Skin So Soft, etc. Rather, this is a cleanser with an oil-like consistency that must be rinsed off of the skin. I've read other reviews with people complaining of skin irritation after using this product, so be sure to rinse your skin well after application. Also, the packaging was lousy; product arrived damaged, leaking and it saturated the box in which it was shipped. A complete waste of money.

Body wash not body oil

Not what I expected. I thought this was a shower oil not a body wash. I use a shower oil as my last step in the shower then rinse off and I dont have to worry about lotioning but this is just another body wash. It is oil based and not as drying as other body washes but provides no where near the hydration I need. I still need to moisturize after using this. So..... not a bad product if you're looking for body wash but if you're looking for a body oil don't buy this.
