assembly was easy. It's nice and sturdy. The laminate looks good, the only party that shows it's laminate and not real wood is the edge. I bought two and was glad to see the laminate design/wood grain print was different on the two table tops so they don't look identical.

This side table is much prettier in person than in the photos. I recently moved and did not bring any furniture with me so I have been ordering lots and lots of furniture on Amazon. I first ordered my bedroom furniture(two nightstands, dresser and chest of drawers) which were all made by Sauder. After assembling all of the bedroom furniture, I knew I wanted to order the living room furniture from Sauder, as well. Their furniture is very well made, sturdy and for the most part easy to assemble just some of it is time consuming. I have put all of my furniture together by myself with no help so that tells you that their instruction manuals are very thorough. They come with very detailed step by step instructions on how to assemble the furniture and if you get to any step you do not understand, you can contact them and they will walk you through it. Along with this side table, I ordered the entertainment credenza and coffee table in salt oak. They are all so beautiful! The quality of Sauder furniture is remarkable and I still have a sofa table to buy and a dining set and will for sure go with Sauder. I cannot say enough about them!

Really happy with the side table! We used it in our living room and it matches perfectly with our beach theme. The color almost has a drift wood look to it. Only took about 45 mins to put together. Instructions were easy and clear, and the product is very sturdy. Overall really happy with this great product.

A beautiful piece of Furniture

It's just as nice looking after assembly as in the catalog, no raw or splintered edges, visible screws or brackets. The instructions are well detailed and there are online videos and personal assistants to help. For me it went pretty fast until it came time to fit the drawer into the stand. Then I spent a few hours cursing and trying different adjustments to screw positions, only to find out that all the time I was engaging the guides wrongly. You might want to avoid that simple error before getting frustrated.

A lot of reviews have argued whether this is more grey than brown and vice versa. To us it is more brown than grey (what we wanted) but more usefully it is very true to the picture on the webpage. We have bought from Sauder before and would certainly do so again. Their stuff has a quality feel.

**updated** I was sent a replacement and it came with a dent/cut in it. See 4th photo for most recent nightstand.

I'll start by saying I bought the matching headboard to this and really liked it. Nice quality and easy assembly. The same can be said for the nightstand. BUT the alignment of the holes are wrong and now the drawer won't close. Double checked everything and they measured it wrong. Very disappointed and frustrated. Spent a lot of time putting it together and now I'll have to take it a part to return. If I even can. The box is difficult to open so it was destroyed in trying to get to the pieces. It probably is hit or miss on what you are going to get. But I'd recommend buying from a store for bigger items like this. Amazon is just difficult to return these sort of things.

For the price you can't beat it. We all know that it is not real wood but unless you start analyzing, it puts on a good show. It took an hour for a fairly skilled person to put it together. Will note that the directions/instructions were good. Loved the rustic or recycled wood look and it should work fine as an end table for my sofa in a frequently used area.

Surprisingly sturdy, although as per usual the bottom of the drawer was just cardboard and the drawer itself was held together by plastic brackets and wishful thinking. As per MY usual, I lined all the joints in the drawer with gorilla glue as I was putting it together. Works beautifully.

We bought two of these little tables to go next to our bed. The are just the right height for us (wood bed frame, box springs, king size mattress).The drawer is very handy for things like headphones, chargers, books, etc.

Construction is pretty solid and it wasn't terribly difficult to assemble although it will take you an hour probably.

This product was super easy to put together, and ultimately looks a lot more expensive than it was! The drawers are a tiny bit off center, hence the reason for my 4 instead of 5 stars, but it's such a tiny difference that nobody would ever notice. We've purchased numerous items from this collection, including end tables, a desk, and a TV center, and we would highly recommend this brand!

One issue with Pre drilled cam holes

Used it as a printer stand in my office. Sturdy, well-designed. Functional. The one issue is the cams are a little loose and that causes the legs to separate from the main body a bit. There's no way to tighten them because the cam holes were Pre drilled too large making the cams loose in the hole.
