Because our candy is made of pure cane sugary instead of high fructose corn syrup and added chemicals, the actual texture of our candy will vary. Stewart's Old Fashioned Pure Candy is manufactured with a "SOFTER" bite than traditional hard candy. This is achieved by placing the candy in a high temperature, high humidity room after it has been manufactured in our Georgia facility. T his causes the candy to "grain" giving each piece the softer texture. You can change the texture of our candy to suit your individual taste by placing it in a warm, moist area to soften it, or a cool, dry area to firm up the texture. If your candy is harder than you like, place it in a warmer area. If it's too soft, place it in a cooler area. This is the expected results of a candy made with authentic, natural, pure cane sugar.
