I have tried numerous things to treat my pugs Collie Nose. Her poor little nose had a large hard crusty shelf like layer at the top of it and it looked so painful. Since I've tried everything under the sun I was extremely skeptical of ordering this product but literally after only ONE application I saw a huge difference and after the 3rd application I couldn't even tell that she ever had Collie Nose. My dog usually licks things off her nose right when I put them on but nope not this stuff because it's instantly absorbed. Easy Peasy!! I also think that it would work well on my dogs paws too when they get dry.
This is a soft solid so you have to kind of press down through the semi hard top layer and scoop out a tiny bit. It's greasy but it's instantly absorbed so there's no mess, not even on your fingers. I can tell it could be a spill-able oily mess real quick so be sure to keep this in a cool place out of the direct sunlight because it will melt fast. If it does I'm sure that you can just pop it in the freezer for a bit. This comes in a small tin and I thought I'd be out in no time but it actually goes a long way and works so well that it'll last forever! This is an amazing product and I am so very thankful that my groomer recommended it!
***Ohhhh and I did notice when searching for this product that there are many different dog breeds pictures on the tins. Different breed pictures cost different prices. It's all the same folks so it you're not picky on whose pictures on your tin I'd go with the cheapest one as long as it's made by the same company and it's the same product.

This product worked after just one application! Our Cane Corsos nose, on the top, was extremely dry and cracked. She loves to dig so when she is in the dirt it would just basically adhere and her nose would look dirty 24-7. But, I used this stick on her nose and it instantly looked moisturized. I will say she was NOT a fan of direct application, but I rubbed it on my finger, then her nose, and she was fine with it. You need only use a small quantity so I'd say this chapstick type tube will last quite a long time. I've used olive oil before and nothing seemed to work...until now! Added bonus that the beauty in the packaging looks just like our girl.

As other reviews have stated, this works!
After 2 days, the crusty part on his nose fell off, like literally fell off! And behold is the cute tiny nose.
Pros:
- IT WORKS only after 2 days, I applied 3 times per day.
- Use treat after applying to distract it, I tend to just keep breaking the treat smaller to distract him longer.
Cons:
- Quite expensive, a tin costs $10 at the time, but I think it can last you for 3-4 months. After the nose heal, you only needs to apply 1/day
-The butter is hard, you have to press hard to get it on your hand, and also it's hard to spread on the nose, you will have to press to make sure it absorbs.

it took some diligence, but the nose butter did the trick on my roommate's bulldog. he was out of town for the weekend and was hoping to surprise him with his dog's nose looking good as new. while i can't say it was a "miracle" after a day's worth of application, by the end of the week, the craggy bits finally started falling off and the new nose came through.
i bought the tin, but i think i am going to switch to the stick. it seems like it'd be easier and more efficient way to apply the butter to a stubborn dog that doesn't appreciate having his face messed with.

Amazing stuff, just as everyone else has said. We live in New Mexico where there's almost no humidity and my sweet French Bulldog's little black nose was cracked and peeling, and looked like cauliflower. I tried a bunch of people-lotions and Burt's Bees dog lotion, but they didn't help much. Saw the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. The tube is a "fat chapstick" size. I scraped a little off the top with my fingernail (it's very smooth, not at all stiff and waxy). I gently applied it with my finger to my doggo's nose, gave her a treat, and after 2 or 3 curious licks she went on with her day like nothing happened. I applied this nose butter daily for 4 days with a gentle paper towel and warm water wipe before application. All the crusty bits sloughed off, and her perfect healthy nose was revealed on day 5. Now I apply the nose butter once a week for maintenance. She's a happy girl, and I'm a happy dogmom!

My poor pug had a crusty nose. I tried vaseline, but it didn't seem to help. He didn't like this being put on his nose, and (tried) to lick it off as soon as I put it on. The first week, I put on 3-4 applications, and his nose became visibly healthier. Now I apply once a week (when he isn't looking). He licks most of it off, but some does get absorbed because his nose looks great!
Very much recommended.

If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. Just see our photo! :) Our 8-year-old Boston has developed barnacles (as we call them) as she has gotten older. They were getting worse with some falling off leaving her nose misshapened. We were happily amazed at how well this worked in just a couple of days, and by 10 days of 1-3 applications daily, her nose looks normal and is getting softer and softer. I should point out that this butter has NO odor unlike other products available online where the reviews talk about how awful they smell. We applied 3 times a day for 5 days, then applied twice a day for a few days, and now apply once a day. At the two-week mark, we will apply twice a week. And this tin will last a long time. Thank you, Blissful Dog, for this product!
3 1/2 Stars -- Works Okay But, So Far, Doesn't Seem To Be As Effective As The Vitamin E Oil I Had Be

In the two weeks since I started using this nose butter on my Frenchie -- who has a history of dry, crusty nose -- it has been moderately effective in helping to make his nose look less dry and in removing some of the flaky, crusty layers from his nose. I think thiis product could work faster and better in these areas if its, essentially, solid (vs. cream, as advertised) format allowed the user to get more of it on their finger to apply on the dry, crusty areas.
While, as I've said, I've seen some positive results after applying this product 2-3 times a day over the past two weeks, I don't -- so far -- find it to be as effective as the Vitamin E oil I'd been using once a day in removing larger areas of crust in a shorter period of time. Further, at $12 for a 2 oz (66 grams) tin, the Blissful Dog Nose Butter is somewhat pricey, especially relative to a bottle of Vitamin E oil.
Overall, 3 1/2 Stars rounded up to 4 Stars.

Our vet told us our pug would need surgery in order to get rid of the crust that was growing on her nose. Never owning a pug before I believed him and began saving up for the expensive surgery. After doing a little research I stumbled upon stories about pugs and dry noses. More research led to nose butter and the various brands. I took a chance and purchased this one. In only 1 month this was the before and after! My pugs nose is completely healed WITHOUT surgery! I also sent this my vet to show that surgery was not needed. My poor dog was suffering while I was trying to save for this expensive unnecessary surgery that my vet told me was needed all while I just could have purchased this inexpensive product and had her nose healed in a month. Give it a try I promise it works! I swear by it! We are even trying the paw butter!

My bully doesn't like it when i apply it but that's not the products fault. Thing is, I've used it pretty regularly and i'm not seeing a huge difference. Maybe a small difference, but no crazy before/after photo.
