Good laptop desk for use with chaiseby A. Prassas (4 out of 5 stars)

Good laptop tray, I use it with a chaise when watching TV and it works fine. I've had it for about a year and a half so it's seen some use. General comments:
1) The bamboo warps and cracks over time, mostly happened during winter when my apartment is heated. Since there is a crack on the right side I had to start using a mousepad so the mouse wouldn't get stuck on the crack
2) The legs are adjustable which is a great feature if you are larger sized. Other reviewers have commented that when you make the legs bigger they don't close up under the tray table when you put it away. That's not a big deal for me but others have found it annoying
3) The vents in the wood for the laptop are a good feature, keeps my laptop from getting too hot
4) The cup holder is also a great feature, keeps drinks from sliding
5) The little lip is removable and fits in the drawer on the side. This is a good way to store it without losing it. I use the tray without the lip for my laptop but with it with food or other things that may slide
I've bought a few different laptop desks and this is the one I use the most. Even with the cracks and longer legs, it's well designed and easy to work on, especially if you use a mouse.
Poor design

I liked this desk, I really did. Until i realized that the board that connects to the top allowing your laptop to not slide off is held in by pegs. Yeah. What a stupid idea. The pegs are so loose, and every time you move it, you basically have them fall out. The legs are ok, limited ability to flex them. I'm sad because I bought this for after a surgery, and I got it the day I came home. It works but not my favorite.
**UPDATE 5/42/19**
After my review, the company reached out and offered to replace it and/or refund my purchase. I asked for a refund.
One day later, I was still trying to deal with it. I just had surgery and really couldn't wait for a new desk. Well, today, the bar connecting the leg-to-leg bottom completely disconnected and now everytime it moves it pops up.
I'd chalk this up to poor construction. Decent idea, decent in theory, decent company/customer service. Just disappointing build :(
It Went from Cute to Warped in 30 Minutes!

I needed a bed table that was adjustable and could take the weight of an 18" laptop. This came up with 4 stars. When I got it, I was very pleased. It had decorative cooling holes, that went perfectly on my bed. The first time I used it for my computer, it warped on one side after 30 minutes. Also, beware. They tell you to be careful not to run your hands on the bamboo, as you may get splinters. Believe me when I say, listen to them!

This bed table/desk is wonderful! It has been well used for several months while I've been laid up with surgeries back to back and I love it! I'm a truck driver and will be returning back to work soon and I wish I could take this with me! Both legs adjust as stated in the description, the table top does "flip" up to your desired elevation. It is sturdier than one would think because this thing has been banged around a bit. The only draw back I have is the little drawer is really only big enough for a couple of pens diagonally, but I never used it so it wasn't that big of a deal. I have used it for my laptop, my tablet and for my meals in bed. Oh, there was one more drawback, and that is if you write on it, you need something like a notebook, you can't really write with out something under the paper due to the vent holes, which wasn't a problem either. I still give this a 5 mainly due to how useful it has been this past year and how sturdy it is. I would definitely purchase this again.
This is my perfect dream desk!

I use this desk to study for school, or just to surf the web. I combined this desk with the LinenSpa reading pillow and I feel like I am on a LazYBoy recliner while doing homework. It is so comfortable while doing homework on my bed and I no longer get shoulder cramps from hunching over. I'm in college, and my room is about the size of a closet. There is no room for an actual desk so this is a good (even better) alternative. I would rather have this set up than a real desk. I also tested this desk out on a coach with my reading pillow, the coach was not wide enough so the desk kept falling. But if I laid down real still I could comfortably get my homework done on the couch. Overall, I think this desk is best suited for a bed.
The best part is that it is a space saver. I can fold up the legs and store it in between my dresser and my bed. My computer has never overheated on my bed, however I guess the holes help keep my computer from getting too hot.
I babysat my niece the other week and she stole my mini desk and reading pillow to watch movies on her tablet. She actually asked me if she could have my desk for christmas! XD Not likely because I am broke, but if I had extra money I would totally buy her one of her own.
Attractive and functional, BUT BE CAREFUL!!

Attractive and functional, BUT BE CAREFUL!!
PROS -
*Nice looking
*Vented top - no hot computer, yay!
*Side drawer - great for pens and pencils
*It is adjustable - I haven't adjusted it as it is the perfect height for me the way it is, but what a great feature.
CONS -
*BE CAREFUL of splinters!! After getting the first splinter I moved and used it very carefully - only to get more splinters! Unfortunately, due to that issue I wouldn't want to allow a bedridden person to use it, or a child - which might just be the reasons for this purchase.
*Legs collapse when desk is moved - when moving this from one spot to another - say off your lap to next to you - the legs may collapse when you set it back down again and if you have something on the desk you run the risk of having it slip off. The legs are quite sturdy, but the joints are not very tight. I hope that the bolts can be tightened a bit in order to stop that.
All and all, as much as I like this desk personally, due to the splintering I can NOT recommend it. I also feel that it should arrive with the joints tight enough that the legs do not collapse when moved. If the manufacturer would fix these flaws, I'd give this desk five stars - it is REALLY pretty and very sturdy other than the collapsing leg joints.

It's hard to keep the table standing up and not folding in all the time. I also can't seem to lock down the part of the desk that comes up, and I hate it when I do some sort of movement and it comes up. It keeps making my laptop fall down and stuff. It's also pretty short, so it's right on my lap when it's fully extended, whereas I probably would have preferred a little more height. Super great product though and I can use it for everything. Does what I need in terms of holding my laptop and a mouse and any extra materials. The drawer can be small though.
UPDATE: their customer service team reached out to me and was really nice. They gave me some tips to ensure that I had all the right materials and was using it correctly so the problems I asked about were solved. They mentioned a metal piece, which is a great tool for the device to keep the top steady, but for my Surface, it is not ideal. However, passing along that information was great and I appreciate it. Like I said before, I will continue to keep using it. If it doesn't work out well for your laptop, YOU CAN USE IT AS A FOOD TRAY AS WELL!!
Warps and cracks

I bought this lap desk to use when working at home. I was initially impressed when it arrived; the adjustable height of the desk and angle of the folding portion seemed to be exactly what I needed. As I set it up, I noticed one of the legs had cracked at the hole around the bolt holding it to the desk top. I thought one minor flaw was no big deal; however, not even one month after arrival and I am regretting the purchase. One of my pictures shows how the desk top has warped and no longer lies flat, meaning I can't use a computer on it without it rocking back and forth. The other pictures show how the desk top has started to crack in several places. In addition, the places where pieces of wood have been pieced together side-by-side are also starting to separate. As the desk has not been introduced to water or other damaging elements, these seem to be flaws in design - perhaps the cut-outs for ventilation on the desktop weakening the surface? Whatever the cause, very disappointing.
Love, love, love!!!

I absolutely LOVE this little desk!!! It is so perfect for my particular needs. I'm stuck in my bed all the time because of being disabled, so sitting at a regular desk is impossible. I love the way it can be moved higher and also the how it it's got several heights for the computer portion itself. When I don't use it for my computer, I can use it for drawing/painting, write letters, prop up my Bible for studying, and so much more. It's not heavy so it doesn't hurt my legs, but it is sturdy enough to do anything I want to do.
The only two things I have a problem with is that the drawer could be a tad bit bigger to add some pens or a small notebook in it. As is, it only holds the little part you can put on the desk as a ledge for a computer or books. And the second thing, which is not really a big deal, is the part for a drink. If I'm not careful I could easily spill my drink. I would think it would be a little deeper and a litter larger so drinks stay put.
Then there is another plus to the desk. It has beautiful cutouts that is a way to keep a computer cool and it won't overheat.
Overall I would say I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The two things that bother me aren't even enough to make me drop any stars, giving it 5 stars all around. If you're bedbound like me then I think you like this little desk as much as I do. I very much recommend it and and extremely happy with my choice!
I've had this thing for a minute now and I must say I absolutely LOVE this desk

Ok. I've had this thing for a minute now and I must say I absolutely LOVE this desk. I use it all the time both for quick meals while I'm working on my laptop and for actual study/computer use. It looks nice, travels well and does what it's supposed to do. I've had zero malfunctions and no splinters (even though I've been careless with it more than a few times). I hated the price but the product has served me exceptionally well.
