Bordered Gauze (island dressing). Price is for one box of 30 pieces. Dimensions: 4"x4" (10 cm x 10 cm) central pad; 6" x 6" ( 15 cm x 15 cm) adhesive part. Sterile product. Features: Non-adherent central pad; Absorbs wound exudate; The semi-occlusive adhesives fabric stabilizes the dressing; The adhesive fabric/film protects the wounds from fluid and bacterial contamination; The adhesive fabric/film keeps the right moisture required for healing since it is permeable to air and vapor; The non-woven backing gauze in the dressing conforms to the wound; Easy dressing change; Latex-free Indications: Sterile dressing for surgical as well as non-surgical wound. Examples of wounds: pressure ulcers; Mixed vascular wounds; Leg ulcers; Lacerations and abrasions; Partial and full- thickness wounds; First- and second-degree burns Precautions: Risk of damaging the wound during removal if dried and adhered to the wound
Features
- The package contains 30 individually packed sterile dressings. Total size of each dressing (adhesive border): 6" x 6" (15 cm x 15 cm). The size of central pad (non-adherent): 4"x4".
- Each dressing is composed of a non-adherent central pad covered (to be placed on wound) and an adhesive border (to be placed on skin around wound).
- The dressing is water resistant and not waterproof.
- Can be used as a primary dressing (for wounds with minimal exudate) or as a secondary dressing (for wounds with heavy exudate). Secondary dressing refers to the role of securing another dressing that can absorb more.
- Latex free. LATEX Test Result: Not Detectable (ASTM D6499-18 Inhibition ELISA). Performed at A2LA Accredited Lab (USA).
