The Pit Bowl has extra high walls so it will actually hold MORE than other 1 Quart buckets. Chew resistant metal and deep wall design prevents water from spilling. Easily hooks on metal grated doors. Holds a full 48 ounces when filled to rim. When traveling it is recommended you fill to the 1 quart line to prevent spilling. Great for food or water. The Pit-Bowl 1.5 Quart Stainless Steel Bowl easily hooks onto most Wire Grate travel Kennel doors or Wire cyclone fences. The Pit-Bowl is recommend for home or travel. The bowl features 2 fills lines, the lowest fill line is 1- quart fill line. It is recommended for best results to not fill above this line when traveling to get the full benefit of the Deep Pit design which prevents spilling. When the bowl is used at home stationary the bowl can be filled to the top line and hold 1.5 quarts = 6 cups = 48 ounces
