the top of the canister is rusting like there is no tomorrowby Grey (1 out of 5 stars)

I have this thing for about 3 months. The brush is shorter than the standard toilet brush. While using it, the plastic brush and wand part would come unscrew from the metal handle and cover part. the top of the canister is rusting like there is no tomorrow! This part doesn't even get wet! How did it get rusted?!
Looks great, but the brush quality isn't.

Let's imagine that most of your bathroom fixtures are stainless. You probably want a stainless toilet bowl brush / holder to match, rather than a cheap plastic one. This option is only a little more expensive than the cheap varieties so it looks like a good match! However, it has some design flaws. You might be better off with one of those cheap plastic brushes.
PRO:
-nice exterior material
-brushed finish looks professional in a bathroom, but your interior design choices are personal.
-brush holder is self-covering due to the brush design
-vented holder lets the brush dry out without getting moldy or worse.
CON:
-brush handle isn't particularly stiff. It's okay but, I've had better brushes for $4 from the grocery store.
-brush bristles aren't particularly durable. They work, but, they'll flatten out with use.
-brush shape/contour isn't ideal for some common toilet bowl configurations, and won't reach every little nook by the drain.
-price considering the above seems a little high. While not in use, this appears like a premium product, but functionally, it's not great.
If you frame this as a 'set piece' within your bathroom, which sees infrequent use, then it is fine. But it won't do as good a job as many alternatives. And it probably won't last forever.
It's o.k., for awhile

Update: Lasted 6 months before the brush snapped in half while trying to scrub the toilet, which is the one thing it's supposed to do. This is the worst toilet brush I've ever had, and one of the worst products I've ever bought, since it can't do the one thing it's supposed to do.
It's o.k. for awhile, then it starts to break down. It dents very easily, and I have to be careful when using the scrub brush on the toilet, b/c the handle of the brush starts to bend if used even moderately hard. It will probably last long enough to be kind of worth its cost, but the other one I had lasted for years and years, this one will not. Not a good value.
DO NOT BUY.

I noticed my old toilet brush and caddy were getting so mildewy and gross after a few years' use that it seemed time to replace, and popped onto Amazon and saw this. Seemed like a nice piece of design, discreet, matched my bathroom. Last night I used it for the first time, only to instantly discover that the brush head isn't of a piece with the handle -- it's screwed on, and immediately fell off in the toilet bowl.
So for the first time in my 64 years of life I had to reach with my bare hand into a toilet to retrieve the brush I had just used to scrub it, and put the thing back together. Yech.
It screwed back on, but I have no faith that those cheap plastic threads will hold tight. I will get another at the first opportunity but it will be one that I have seen and handled before buying. Gag.
Don't Buy This - It is the Opposite of Sturdy!

While this product is pleasing from a design standpoint, it turned out to be virtual junk. After about 6 weeks of use (meaning it was used to scrub a toilet perhaps 10 times total) the handle snapped off while simply scrubbing out the commode. No big pressure, just routine use. Buyers beware.
Good for looks only and very infrequent use

Very thin, cheap stainless steel. If I had to use this every day for a large family it would never last. The metal is so cheap and thin that it came with a dent in the holder and a bent lid.
Rusted after a few months

The idea of this bathroom scrubber to me was genius and I was so happy that it was stainless steel. However, after a few months it began to rust and the sponge/scrubber turned brown with rust! now instead of cleaning my toilet it was rusting it. The crazy part is that the holder/base is only rusted in the inside, not the outside. It looks nice in the bathroom but the rust issue forces me to give it a star because it has holes to prevent rusting that clearly didn't do their work.
Nice looking brush that is easy to clean but hard to keep clean

Looks nice and is easy to clean. Toilet brushes inevitably get... gross, but this one is very easy to clean up. When I'm having folks over, it's easy to wipe the stainless steel down with some windex to get it looking nice and clean again and when I'm deep cleaning the bathroom, this thing is also easy to flush out with some soap and disinfectant to get the inside back in shape again as well.
Functionally, the actual brush is pretty standard fare, with very stiff bristles. I find this makes it harder to press out excess liquid before storing it away again, leading to the inside getting dirty a lot faster than if you had cleaned it out better.
Pretty and practical addition to my bathroom

Looks so much better than the scrubber in the plastic container it was bought in. Can no longer see the dried water marks or dirty remains, it is all contained in this pretty little container! I do have to mention that I bought the matching plunger from this company too and what I didn't realize was how much bigger the plunger is - like twice the size of this! It bothered me a bit at first that they didn't completely match but I don't care much now - they both serve their purpose and keep my bathroom looking much more presentable.
Not durable

Rusted out within a year of usage. Brush gets dirty fairly quickly (stains) and stays that way even after letting it sit in the toilet bowl.
