Great product, great collorsby Sigmax (5 out of 5 stars)

These metallic permanent markers are superior to Sharpie metallic markers. Great comfy grip and nice constant flow of ink. I have attached a picture to show what the colors actually look like in normal lighting. What you see in the picture is what you will get.
Love my markers!

I am a marker and colored pencil addict. I have all Sharpie colors and have started collecting Bics and just added this one to my collection. These markers are great for adult coloring books and yes, although they bleed (minimally on these) I tend to use my markers for one sided coloring books anyway. I just add a sheet of paper in between pages and I'm good to go. This set comes with 8 markers and includes the following metallic colors: Platinum Silver, Yellow Gold, Emerald Green (such a pretty color), Sapphire (another great one), Amethyst (my favorite), Jade, Pink Topaz and Bronze. Although I have my favorites, I really love them all. The back of the packaging says the following:
*Marks on light and dark surfaces
*Best for use on porous surfaces such as paper and cardboard
*Acid free Ink
*Bold, Long-lasting color (I'll attest to that)
*Comfortable grip
These leave a shimmery finish (see the pictures I posted of each color.. I tried to capture the shimmer but my camera did them no justice) and are not gloopy like metallic paint markers. These are fine point (not ultra fine) but I can still get into little areas. Each marker is surrounded by rubber (kind of like a pencil grip) at the place where most would hold a marker making them super comfortable to use.
Overall, I love using these and love having had added these to my ever growing collection.
The pens work great on black paper

I used the pens for student to create a night skyline art project. They kids loved it. We used black cardstock from Michaels. It was a hit and beautiful
I do still like them though

I attached a photo so you can see the colors. They have kind of a gray silver tone. More so then a metallic shine. My only real complaint is that they don't stay sharp at the tip for very long at all. The tip got very mushy almost right away. And the ink gets on the inside of the cap then transfers to the grip and gets on your fingers. So you have to be careful putting the caps back on. They write very bold. I do still like them though. Worth the price for sure. Not every pen or marker is perfect.
the metallic component from these BIC markers smears easily when sliding your index finger across

Unlike its 'Sharpie Metallic Permanent Marker' counterpart, the metallic component from these BIC markers smears easily when sliding your index finger across. You don't even have to press down hard with your finger, just slide it and you will see sparkles on your finger and other parts of the surface that you didn't write on. Personally, I purchased these markers to write prices on price tags at my clothing store. I returned these immediately after discovering that the metallic film had rubbed off onto my clothing (which I can no longer sell). These markers are only "permanent" on porous materials (such as writing paper), but even then it is a gamble based on the aforementioned reasons above. Plastic, cardboard, plastic notebook covers, etc will smear! Consider yourselves warned!
opened them for use 1/20/18 and Bronze marker was no good. I say that to say this

The Bronze marker was either dry or never filled with ink. It did not work/write. The rest of markers worked ok, but if writing on plastic surface, these are not the markers you want. Ink beads on plastic. These metallic markers are just ok. If I new then what I know now, I would not have purchased. I cannot return because opened and used other colors before realized. I received these markers 1/19/18, opened them for use 1/20/18 and Bronze marker was no good. I say that to say this: the Bronze marker not working, was not due to me storing the markers too long before use.
Great price for "different" Sharpies

I purchased these to use in my Craftwell eBrush airbrush machine and I love them. But, I tend to be like a little kid again with a box of crayons with the sharpener when it comes to markers, pens, etc. These are your typical Sharpies except for the fact that the colors are anything but "typical"! I've got several brands of metallic makers and these are probably the best I own. No felt "pilling" or little balls you sometimes get with markers, and the colors are spot on! Yep, they actually DO match the caps! My only wish is that there were more colors offered. In the pack there's a bronze and a gold and they're very similar. Also, the two "green-ish" in the pack are very similar also. I don't mind since I do a LOT of paper crafting and that serves my needs but, it's something to consider if you don't use them for art so much. Still, a worthwhile purchase.
Metallic Permanent Markers - BiC 8-pack vs Sharpie 4-pack
by Calichigal (4 out of 5 stars)

NOTE: putting this at the top for people not familiar with these kinds of pens. They need to be stored cap down. If your new pens seem dried out, store them this way for an hour or so and see if that makes a difference. I have used the silver Sharpies for years, for marking black plastic electronics. Now, got me some color ones for fun. A girl's gotta have some fun, ya know! :o)
The BiC 8-pack (silver, gold, bronze, pink, purple, blue, and 2 greens) I purchased via Amazon.
The Sharpie 4-pack (silver, gold, red, green) I purchased in-store at Walmart.
I'm doing a combined review and posting at both places.
The white paper is a cheap mini-composition book page. The black is the plastic back cover of the same composition book.
Specifics:
The names of the colors are per what is on the barrels of the pens.
I wrote with the pens held nearly perpendicular, trying to get the finest line I could, even turning the pens as I wrote. See the pictures for the results.
The three lines following each color were all done at the same three angles for each pen. The BiCs have more variation in that department. However, while I was able to get a pretty fine line from some of them in the three-angle lines, I was not always able to get those fine lines while writing for either brand.
The ink flow seems a little freer with the BiCs, which may also lead to them drying out sooner. Time will tell.
Smearing: Once good and dry, I didn't get any smearing from any the Sharpies, on either the paper or the plastic cover. The BiCs smeared only on the plastic cover, and they all smeared, with the metal colors smearing the least. The Amethyst, Sapphire, and Jade had a little silver showing through pretty much from the get-go. When I rubbed my finger across them, these colors smeared more, and it was the color that smeared off, leaving silver behind. The Sapphire and Jade had the most color rub off. I took a star off of the BiC because of the smearing. If a person uses these where they won't get smeared, it won't be a problem.
In general, I like all of them. I think they will definitely do for my intended use. The BiCs: shipment from Amazon was quick, and they arrived in tact and working. :o)
Finally! Metallic Bics!

I have both the fine and ultra fine sets of the regular bic markers and love them. I bought these as a christmas present to myself and ended up having to open them to complete some homemade gifts I was making. They are wonderful! I love metallic highlights for my artwork and these do a really great job. I'm looking forward to actually using them in some of the pieces I am currently working on. The only drawback is that there should be a light blue as well. This blue is pretty dark. Also, They need to make these in the Ultra Fine nibs as these are pretty thick and a little harder to control than the regular fine bics. Still, a great buy!
Wand decorating!

Love these pens! The colors are so pretty. And love that they are metallic. We used these for my daughter's Harry Potter themed birthday party. We gave wands to her guests that they could decorate. These markers were perfect! They each decorated ther wands and the colors stood out nicely!
