Recyclable coconut fiber bedding provides an excellent habitat substrate for a variety of pets including many amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates. Coconut husk reptile bedding is naturally ideal for use in terrariums for pets that require specific humidity levels to be maintained for their health and happiness. Zoo Med Eco Earth Loose Coconut Fiber Substrate is made primarily from the husks of coconuts. Coconut fiber bedding is meant to be kept slightly damp to maintain proper humidity levels as well as absorb and break down odor and waste. This makes it ideal for use as coconut husk reptile bedding or amphibian bedding in tropical terrariums. Many pets thrive in environments with specific humidity levels; such pets include: dry land newts frogs, toads, tortoises, box turtles, other terrestrial turtles, forest-dwelling lizards, snakes and invertebrates like hermit crabs thrive in environments with specific and constant humidity levels. Each pet type has their own unique needs so be sure to understand your pet's ideal humidity levels. Monitor your habitat's humidity and then dampen or replace your coconut fiber bedding as needed. Spot clean as needed and replace entirely at least every 6 months. Old or soiled substrate can be sustainably composted or recycled.
