Works Great, Do Not Buy

I advise passing on this (and similar products) and buying a pumice stone. They work ALMOST as well as this, but they will not break down into plastic, non-degradable particles that enter the food and water chain.

This product works great, I cannot lie. But it is made of a polyurethane particle foam that slowly breaks down into microparticles that simply go down the drain. Buying and using this product will help your feet, and it is affordable...but it will absolutely contribute to polluting your local, our national, and the world water supply.

Microplastic contamination has been found in tap water in countries around the world, leading to calls from scientists for urgent research on the implications for health. The US has the highest contamination rate, at 94%, with plastic fibers found in tap water sampled at sites all over the nation. This is a large problem confronting our local society and the planet overall.

If your smooth feet are worth more to you than clean water and non-contaminated seafood, knock yourself out. Myself, I will purchase actual pumice stones in the future that work almost as well as this product but do not impact the water supply anywhere near as adversely as this product.

Prepare to be amazed at your new feet

If you have thick, calloused skin on the bottoms and sides of your feet, that no amount of scrubbing with a pumice stone has ever been able to completely remove, then you NEED to give these bars a try. They will take all of the dead skin off and leave you with soft, new skin. For real. You will be amazed.

The first time I used one of these bars, I soaked my feet in warm soapy water for about 20 minutes before scrubbing them, to soften the skin. Then I started scrubbing them with the coarse (dark purple) side, because my feet needed major, major help, and by the time I was done, it was like I had a new pair of feet. I sorta wish I had taken before/after pics, but it's probably best I didn't because I wouldn't want to gross you guys out with the "befores".

These are nothing like the regular pumice stones you get at the store. They are much more abrasive, very lightweight, and teeny little bits of it come off as you use them. So they will wear down after a while and you'll need to replace them. But you won't even care about that because you'll be so happy with the results they give.

I will never, never use anything else on my feet, because everything else is a complete waste of time.

I did not receive a Mr. Pumice bar but a generic knock off. I would have returned it but I thought I would give the product the benefit of the doubt and try it. Mistake should have returned it. Not the same quality at all.

At the shop where I get pedicures I noted that they use these. The dark purple side is perfect for keeping my heels smooth. I live in the desert and go barefoot often so need something for my feet, but other products didn't seem to be very effective. I use this with a callous gel every so often and this seems to work better than all the other "pumice" bars, etc. This isn't pumice though, but I never liked the hard pumice stones and they didn't seem to do much anyway.

I love this pumice bar. I've had it before and it lasted me a very, very long time, even with regular use. It was a nub before I ordered a new one, but nonetheless it lasts forever. It scrubs away all the hard, dry skin on my heels. Using this and the O'Keefe's Healthy Foot Cream seriously turned my heels from cracked, dry and ugly feet into smooth and soft - in no time. I was too embarrassed to wear sandals that exposed my heels because they were so gross. But now, thanks to this pumice stone and O'Keefe's foot cream, I'm wearing open-heel sandals all the time now! This is the type of pumice bar all the nail salons use, which is why I got it in the first place. Will cont. to use this and buy more in the future.

Using this guy with O'Keefe's foot cream, so can't give total credit to either one, but it's working! Cracks and calouses are almost gone after a couple of weeks of daily use. No, it's not real pumice. Yes, I expect each bar will wear out in a few months if I continue daily use. If some of the abrasive purple stuff comes off in the shower, it's not much. (I even looked after I put my contacts in, just to see what people were concerned about.) It's an inexpensive pumice thingie, people. Get a grip.

Love these pumice bars! My fiances mom had them in her shower I noticed a few weeks ago and I tried them and was amazed at the results! Wow, they really exfoliate and smooth the skin! I love the large size of the bar itself, it is easy to hold and get a good grip, and then to move it back and forth is so much easier then one of the little round ones! I love that this has two sides, a finer coarse and a heavier course to use on different parts of the feet. So far, I have been using these to try to soften my summer skin and help my feet smooth out and look great! This pumice bar also dries out really quickly, I keep it in the shower, and use it just about everyday, so far it is the best pumice bar I have used. I read on the seller's page that you can use this on other body parts besides your feet, like your elbows and knees etc. which I haven't tried yet, but I just might. They also say it can be used wet or dry, so far I have only used this wet and have seen a lot of great results!

Compared to a real pumice stone, this is no comparison. I have calluses on the bottom of my toes from Jiu Jitsu mats. A regular pumice stone takes a little work to get them soft again. After using this the first time, I wore through a lot of the bar. I've used it maybe three or four times and it'll probably only last a dozen or so before it disappears. It doesn't do very well on my fingers either. I'm not sure if it's meant for something else, but for smoothing calluses, naaaaaaah. And it does make a mess while it's shredding off, not a huge deal cause it washes down the drain, but takes a bit to wash all the grain off my hands.

I was skeptical when I got this because it was SUPER light. I didn't think this was going to do anything for me. It was so light, I thought I would break it if I used too much pressure. Well, I was definitely wrong. I got this a couple months ago and use it a couple times a week. It's held up wonderfully! It's awesome. I use a lot of pressure when doing my feet because my heels are tough from wearing sandals all the time. After a couple minutes on each foot, my feet are back to being pretty again! I can't remember if it says to do this on the instructions, but I recommend putting some shampoo/bodywash on it before scrubbing. I will definitely buy more once this one needs to be replaced.

The trusty Mr. Pumice...

Every time I stray, I always come back to you... I've tried just about everything on this hard yellow callus of a left foot I've got. I tried electronic "as seen on tv" callus grinders, foot peels, etc... but I always seem to come back to Mr. Pumice because the thing just works. Don't waste your time with more expensive options; this is the best of the best.
