Since 1999, American artist Susan Lordi has worked in partnership with DEMDACO to produce, market and distribute Willow Tree , her line of carved figurative sculpture. From her studio in Kansas City, Lordi hand carves the original of each figure. This piece is cast from Lordi's original and painted by hand. Enclosed inside each fitted packaging box is a gift-giving card with piece title and sentiment on it. Each piece is intended to be open to interpretation from the viewer. Great as a First Communion gift for a girl. Our daughter loved it! Small and not too heavy so it can sit on a shelf easily with no worries of it being too heavy. Since it has no facial features it can look mature enough to "grow" with her. I imagine she will cherish this forever.

I sent this to my sister-in-law who has suffered a significant loss and she loves it! She collects angels and was thrilled to receive such a beautiful surprise. I am happy that she will find some comfort when she looks at this little perfectly crafted angel.

This is so beautiful. I bought it for my grandma and I can't wait to give it to her. The dress looks like there is doves on it. I love the animation of it: it reminds me of the cartoon bible movies I used to watch on HBO when I was a kid.
