I got this for barbeque seasoning on my chicken to spice up the bland HCG diet, and it was very good used alone, Not too hot or sweet. Meanwhile I found a blog for homemade HCG safe barbeque sauce, which I made and was awesome. It took a can of plain tomato sauce, added spices, stevia, and alot of cinnamon. I would cut back on the cinnamon,though. I think this recipe may be found in the HCG Diet cookbook, along with Chili Sauce and Italian Spaghetti Sauce.

Added great flavor to my ketchup to make bbq sauce...added some liquid smoke too. Pretty expensive for a small bottle. So glad there are no gums, starches, sugar, refined oils or preservatives. Wish the Simple girl BBQ sauce didn't have any xanthan gum in it- I would be using that otherwise. I will try it in my BBQ nut recipe next.

Really tasty and I appreciate that it's sweetened with stevia. It is fairly salty, though not too much for me. The flavor is highly-reminiscent of sweet-spicy BBQ sauce, but this powdered version is less messy and more convenient to store. Good stuff. I've ordered before and likely will do so again.
