I hate this. You ask why do I give it 5 stars and hate it? This is simple to answer. My dog loves, loves, loves this stupid plastic squeaky toy so much that it is delivered to me every 3 seconds of every day. Every waking minute of my live I have this slobbery toy sitting on my leg or foot or lap. I hate this toy because my dog loves it so much. Sometimes I need to hide the toy behind a locked door or cabinet where the dog can't get it just to get a break.

I don't know if all dogs love it this much, but my dog will take 50.

WARNING

i PREVIOUSLY GAVE THIS PRODUCT A 3 STAR RATING, BUT i SPOKE TOO SOON. After my dog destroyed this toy and swallowed the pieces (IT IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR STRONG CHEWERS) I ENDED UP TAKING THE DOG TO THE VET. After thousands of dollars of testing and surgery the pieces of this product that got lodged in my dogs intestines were removed. he almost died and if I didn't have very good pet insurance I would have been forced todestroy him. I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT TO GIVE THIS PRODUCT TO YOUR DOG, EVEN WHILE OBSERVING HIM PLAY WITH IT. MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SAID THE SQUEAKER DISSAPPEARS OUT OF PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY. That means only one thing, a chance for a blockage down the road andi ntestines getting ripped up laong the way if it makes it own way out. I love Kong products, but if you have a strong chewer stick to the black heavy duty toys. THIS WAS A VERY COSTLY MISTAKE AND I DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO SUBJECT THEIR DOG TO THE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING HURT OR WORSE DYING FROM THIS PRODUCT.

I have written to the manufacturer to let them know what happened, not asking for anything and received no responce at all. To me that says they knew there was a potential problem and still marketed the product. It is no longer isted under their products they sell, so maybe they got smart and removed it.

INITIAL REVIEW....

I am disappointed in in how this product held up. I swear by Kong toys for my Pitbulls, so I thought I would give this a try. Was totally chewed to smithereens in less than an hour.

It is the only Kong product I have ever had a problem with and sadly there is nothing to return.

I don't know what has happened to KONG lately, but their products suffer from a severe like of quality control.

This review will focus on the round squeezz ring dog toy. It look nice and is soft to squeeze....dog loves it.

This is the 4th kong I have had to return because of a failure of the toy, this one was just past the return date of 30 days.

Pros: nice size for a medium dog....we have a standard Goldendoddle (65 Lbs)

Looks well made.

Cons: lasted 32 days of intermittent use.

Pictures show that it is glued together in two pieces (halves)

Comes apart easily if you pull on the two halves., not safe for a dog, since it can then pull out the squeeker and possibly swallow it....then a trip to the vet.

I have no idea what these other reviews on here are talking about. My "ferocious" little teddy is 17lbs & destroyed this toy in 10mns. I gave it to her as soon as i received it because I was so excited after reading the other reviews, which said this was indestructible and lasting. Alas, that is nowhere near the case and so I cannot recommend this product.

My dog LOVES this ball. Loves it. Loves chasing it, retrieving it, and of course, squeaking it.

The good:
- The entire ball is a squeaker. You read that right. This ball is like a giant, bouncy, squeaker.
- It's pretty durable for its price point: it's survived the wrath of my pit bull for more than a week.
- Its weight is distributed through the ball differently, so it has a slightly unpredictable bounce pattern to keep your dog on their toes.
- It floats!

The bad:
- The entire ball is a squeaker. You read that right. This ball is like a giant, bouncy, squeaker.
- Your dog may carry it around, squeaking it constantly.
- SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK
- You've been warned.

I've contemplated taking this on a romp in the woods and "losing" it, but my girl loves it too much. I look forward to the day the squeaker part breaks, although I'll probably replace the ball since it makes her so happy.

I bought the small kong dumbbell for my 26 lb dog and the large one for my 55 lb dog. It turns out that they both love the small one. We have since bought several of the small ones.

For my 55 lb dog: I like that even the small one is ok for her and I don't have to worry about it getting stuck in her mouth because of the shape. She is a strong chewer and this toy holds up nicely but the squeak disappears after a couple of months. It's not an issue for me because she likes the squeak but is more interested in fetching it so it still works.

For my 26 lb dog: It has a nice bounce when it hits the floor so even playing fetch in a small space is entertaining. He likes to gently gnaw at the bumpy/raised swirl designs on the dumbbell when he is just holding it so even when we aren't playing fetch, he is kept occupied. This is the one toy that he absolutely loves and carries it with him everywhere he goes. He even takes it with him when he sleeps. I don't know if the blue ones feel differently but strangely enough, he prefers to play with the blues ones than any other color.

My 15lb chiweenie Cooper absolutely loves this thing (see video). He's had similar squeaking chew toys in the past but this one stands out as the one that he loves most. It's the perfect size for him to carry in his mouth. It's also made of a tough plastic material that so far he has been unable to chew through. So, after two weeks he hasn't destroyed it and, moreover, he still loves it and reliably chooses it over his many other toys when it's time to play. As an added bonus, the material is tough such that it isn't terribly easy for him to squeeze it enough to produce a squeak. He still can but it clearly requires some effort, which presumably is good for exercising his jaw. In addition, the fact he isn't squeaking it 24/7 is good for my annoyance levels.

We bought this for our dog who loved it so much he even brought it to his bed at night. He would squeeze it all day, and chew it till it started to look a little oblong. Unfortunately he is a strong chewer and it only lasted just over 2 months. But I'm sure for most dogs it would be great. This is what happened to ours though.

I bought this Kong squeezz ball in size Medium for my corgi puppy 5 months old. Here my opinions about this product:
- Material: it looks thin like cheap plastic in the picture, but in person this ball feels like rubber, and does has some weight. I kindda like it
- Color : the random color I received was blue which looks a bit cheap
- Size : Medium is still very small for my corgi puppy, When I opened it, I thought they sent me wrong size of Small or even Xsmall, my puppy can chew it up easily in his mouth. This size is more suitable for Chihuahua or Tea Cup.
- Function : its bounce very well, the squeaker is awesome that sounds clear and not too noisy or punch into my ears like some toys I've bought in stores. However, its embarrassing to confess that I enjoy playing with this ball more than my puppy. He prefers to..chew this ball instead of chasing it around..oink oink !!

My 70 lb German shepherd is a very powerful chewer. We took a chance with this because she destroys tennis balls in 2 minutes but loves to play fetch. Yes, it didn't take long for the ends to come off and the squeaker lasted a day or two longer. But, what remains is her favorite toy. When it rolls under the couch, she moans or digs at the carpet until someone retrieves it. The remaining ball is not ripping or showing signs of wear. It rolls and bounces without a problem. We are very happy with it.
