I really love this squeegee. I am learning silk screen printing and it has never failed me once. Its large enough for the designs I make and presses the ink correctly through the screen. I highly recommend it.

Don't use for emulsion!

Squeegee was slightly too big for the 10 x 14 screen. It has to be drug at an angle.

Also, if you are using this for emulsion coating, it falls short of being very useful. Meaning, it will spread a THICK coating of emulsion. It spreads it on TOO thick and unfortunately ended up wasting a whole screen and a whole bunch of emulsion.

A solution to this is, use a credit card or a proper/finer edged squeegee for emulsion application.

Doesn't compare to polyurethane squeegees, but will do the job

Im a very experienced screen printer but I'm used to using polyurethane squeegees with a flat edge so this one was difficult for me. The end of the squeegee is rounded instead of flat and I couldn't seem to get a thin layer of ink through the screen. The wooden handle is well built but the rubber itself isn't held in very securely making it bend at an odd angle when pressure is applied. I also bought a smaller one of this same type. I will continue to use it and try and make it work until I can order some that are similar to what I am used to. Might work better for someone who uses these from day one of learning to print.

Tricky to use

The paddle is good but that's just wood, the squeegee part sucks. you have to use it perfectly for it to work right. the other squeegees i use don't require that much attention to detail and the Nitrile isn't as long so they don't bend when you apply pressure.

It is well built and does work well for beginners that are just starting printing by silk screening. It has rounded edges on the blade and for my purpose, it spreads too much inch unlike squeegees with sharp square blades. That is the reason for only 4 three stars.

Terrible - Go to Alternative.

Terrible squeegee. Go with polyurethane squeegee. This "gives" too much and doesn't keep pressure evenly on the screen, resulting in uneven prints.

Works best for thinner

Works best for thinner, waterbased inks. It has a round edge on the squeegee side that can build up and hold alot of the plastisol inks.

We did screen print with both ink types and had good results.**
