Do not over pay for this item (more than $5), you will probably be disappointed. It is fine if you just need a base to start with, or just want something to throw on your head. Shipping took 19 days to the USA.

The brim is plastic. The rest of the materials are as expected of a cheap item. The hat is NOT ADJUSTABLE as stated in the questions sections, so if your head circumference is larger than 21 inches, do not buy this product.

They seem to have sewn the decoration on straight unlike some previous commenters were saying.

It comes out of the bag floppy and sad looking, so you will need to fluff it up.

Not "Exactly" As Advertised

It got the job done but it didnt come "exactly" as advertised. The cap in the picture has two little holes on the side and there seems to be more space on the sides. My cap doesn't has the holes and the hat looks slanted towards the back, it has less material than what the picture shows. So as you can see (where we wanted the words on the side) there's just barely enough room for the word. It's almost touching the top seam. But it serves its purpose well as a $6 novelty item!!!! Can't beat that, and it fits well!!! Lol

Although I look like a champion, My yacht cap is a tad large on this lady- I was able to tuck my ponytail in and it stayed on okay.... It is obviously made cheaply, thin fabric, plastic brim- and the patch was even crooked.

However, we had an impromptu small homemade boat race at the river and my cap was the perfect accessory with my swimsuit. Not only did I fulfill my expectations of being cute and spontaneous, but others were jealous because I am so cool. .

I recommend if you enjoy being both mocked and envied by your friends. Wave your freak flag and buy a yacht captains hat. (unless you have a really small head)

This claims to be for an adult but it is much too small for the average person to wear. It is also cheaply made so it will fall apart after a few uses I figure. It was purchased for a costume but I can't wear it but gave it to a child instead. I recommend you look for a different version of this if you're looking for a Captain's hat because you will be disappointed if you order this. It was not as advertised and I regret purchasing it.

I mean it's a cheap costume hat so you're not really expecting much but it for sure doesn't deliver much either. We had to put some cardboard behind the front of the hat to keep it upright because otherwise the top just flops down onto the brim.

This was a hit at a boat party I had. i wanted our captain to have a hat to go along with the theme of the party. I wasn't expecting a great quality hat it was more purchased just as a joke. However, it was definitely a nice hat, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a favor like this! Very cute and stylish. We purchased for a guy but could be versatile between a man and woman.

i am dissatisfied that the hat is already dirty on top it was not protected by a bag or any other means of keeping it clean in the box it was shipped in
