Very sturdy stainless steel with no sharp edges. I especially like the flared top. As for ease of emptying, just lift it up off the two screws and dump it out....no need to go rummaging around in there with your hand. You can easily adjust the screw depth to provide enough pressure to keep it in place, yet still easily remove the basket when needed.

I recommend installing it 5 inches below the opener. (ie. 5 inches from bottom of opener to top of catcher) . 4 inches was a little too close and interfered with the bottle when opening,

I originally bought it from "A bit of Country / Collectibles + Closeouts" only to have to return it as they sent me something that looked like it had been sitting in someone's garage for 20 years and NOT Brand New as was advertised. So, I had to return and reorder from another seller.

Amazon took it back with no problem and a full refund. I then ordered it from KegWorks (I thought), but it shows up as "Dot Com Holdings of Buffalo, Inc" on the invoice. Oh well, whatever, whoever they are they sent me a brand new undamaged cap catcher exactly as described and I'm happy with it. It cost about $1.50 more than the first one I had ordered (and had to return) from "a bit of country / Collectibles + Closeouts", but this one actually is new and not scratched and damaged.

Sorry, but I hate when sellers pull crap like this and waste my time. If you're gonna pull a bait and switch go over to Ebay. Amazon's return policy and handling of returns is awesome!

The cap catcher I now have from KegWorks is awesome. It is solid and heavy duty and looks great. It comes with screws, but they were too short for my use, less than an inch. It's thick, heavy and sturdy. Zero complaints....Just make sure who you buy it from.

This is a nice little catch. I was surprised to see the physical size when took shipment of this item as it is smaller than I imagined. However, it works well and is exactly what I wanted. The provided holes were not precision enough to allow for a level install without offsetting the height of the mounting screws. I'm overly OCD when it comes to things being 100% level, so it is likely that this may not be a problem for most. I do recommend you check before installing. Be careful not to install too close to the bottle opener as some wider bottles may not clear the catch when opening. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Does what it is suppose to

Does what is says it will do. Comes with good instructions on the height you should place this on your wall. If you follow it the wide catcher will collect all your bottle tops with no worries, even with those folks that had 12 too many, they really can not miss the drop. Only complaint is that it looks like it has some rust type marks on the inside, not the outside. I do have this in the outdoors so I am not surprised as it is exposed to the elements. I would recommend this for the value, you should not have to worry.

Perfect mate for the Regular Stainless Steel STARR "X" Wall Mounted Bottle Opener

I bought this for a mate to the Regular Stainless Steel STARR "X" Wall Mounted Bottle Opener for the back of my man cave and it did not let me down. Works great, but I would say that you should be careful to put it far enough below the opener so that it does not interfere with the bottle as you open it. I also would say the same condition for this as for the opener is that you really need to have something hard to mount it on - wood - and not painted sheet rock. My only criticism is that screws that came with the item where a bit short, so I had to sub in some others. Not a big deal, but they should have been longer.

This is not Stainless Steel like advertised. Its Aluminum. I returned and Amazon refunded my money instantly for that reason. I wish they would change there title to aluminum. I purchased another one from a 3rd party on amazon (barproductscom) for $1.50 more and I got the real professional quality Stainless Steel.

I would have given it a 5 star if it were actually the color shown in the photo. Mine was more stainless steel which does not match the bottle cap opener I purchased in the brushed bronze color. Functions well though.

Very thin material, does not hold its shape. Not happy at all with the quality. For the first time in my Amazon buying they will not return it, even though I was scammed.
