OEM is the way to go for air filters.

Dont waste your time or money on marketing junk like K&N. If there were a better filter Ford would already be using it to increase gas mileage, power, etc. You can replace this every 10,000 miles five times for the price of some of the other junk.

Motorcraft OEM Part

This air filter fits 2012 Ford Taurus SHO even though amazon site says it wont fit. It's the same air filter that comes originally with the car. Dealer charges $70. No way should anyone pay that much for a $12 part to be installed. This is the easiest part to replace on your car and it literally takes 3 minutes to do. If you don't know how to go watch a youtube video. I stick with OEM parts.

Fits like new and saves gas.

It is difficult to believe that,in only one year, an air filter can accumulate this much junk in its pleats. I ordered this filter, and was surprised how dirty the other one looked when placed side by side. This little investment made my car run better and more fuel efficient.

Save your money and do this yourself!

Fit in my 2014 Ford Explorer perfectly! The housing is super easy to access under the hood. I was told to replace it @ ford and they wanted to charge upwards of $75. Save your money! Getting the clips/tabs back on proved to be difficult on the last one after reinstalling, but I eventually got it!

Clean air = happy car

I'm done with the oily aftermarket conical and drop-in filters. Waste of time, money, and effort. You aren't gaining any appreciable horsepower or mileage with them anyways, just getting your intake sensors all oily which causes misreads and trouble codes. Paper filters are the way to go. Cheap and easily replaceable peace of mind.

Difficult to replace cover...

Bought for Ford Edge 2013 because owner manual said so. Fits very tight because the rubber lip sits high (since new i guess) and it took me turning into the Incredible Hulk to get the cover with the 3 tabs back on. I lifted the left side as high as i can and tilted the right side so the tabs went in. Then shoved in in gradually. Very difficult. Get your beast mode ready!

Works well

I swap these out on our 2011 Explorer every third oil change (~15K miles). The original one from the factory was still in pretty good condition after ~25k miles. Note that I did have some oil blow-by (~3 teaspoons) but nothing out of the ordinary. Fit was pretty tight and learned the best way to get these installed is to loosen the air intake clamp and lift straight up. This should give you enough room for everything.

Motorcraft FA1884 Air Filter

Just like it says on the box recommended by Ford Motor Company this part is a genuine Ford replacement part so it fits perfect and functions like it should. This is the main reason that I use Motorcraft filters on all my Ford vehicles. Since it is a genuine part then there is no problems with Warranty either.

Keep the turbos breathing freely with a clean filter

Cheap way to keep your engine running well. Motorocraft fits better than some of the aftermarket as the foam appears a little thicker. The result is the air box can be a little harder to close, but the seal is positive.

Almost fit - rubber gasket a lil bigger

Bought this a second time for a 2014 Ford Flex. This time it was harder to put the blower housing back on with the three tabs. The rubber is a little thicker. I was able to put the tabs through with a struggle. I was going to slice down the rubber as last resort
