To review cat food is silly. Almost all cats are unique and finicky by nature. My cats absolutely love a particular flavor this week because it is different from what they have been eating (or hate it for the same reason) and then do a 180 degree turn around and like it or hate it for the same reasons. I finally picked a 1/2 dozen flavors ( I have 4 cats who eat like horses) and stopped trying to worry about what they "liked". If they are hungry, they will eat.

I tried some canned foods for my kitten for moments when I cannot cook for her.

I first tried another brand but she grew tired of it so I searched on Amazon for the most appreciated products for cats and kittens and Purina came through.

So I tried the standard one and the gravy and she loved the gravy.

Trying to give her some more variety, I kept on searching and I came to the Fancy Feast Sliced chicken feast in Gravy and I tried it with her as soon as I got the package arriving.

The results are a complete success. She loves it.

The chicken hearts and liver feast are especially good for her.

Something is not right with this product lately...

Posted about the grilled ones too - there is something wrong lately with this product. There is a subtle difference in the label and the can is not sealed quite as usual. My cats refuse to eat it (never happens) and I have had to throw away a lot of it searching for a can they will eat. I worry about the manufacturing process.

Fancy Feast isn't always my 1st choice, but as I sift through different brands and types of foods trying to meet the needs of different ages of foster kittens, I try to feed an assortment of foods so that the kittens will be receptive to the foods offered by their new families when they are adopted. I use such a wide variety of wet foods that the kittens are exposed to a wide variety and types of good nutriton, some better or rated higher than others, ..... but in the long run, I make sure that the kitties are exposed to a large variety to better insure their success when they become a new family member!!

Only Brand of Canned Cat Food You Should Buy

The cats LOVE Fancy Feast, in fact it's the only kind of canned they will eat. They like the gravy, not the pureed kind- "pate'" rather, they like the slices and the gravy around the slices. Many times when the cats aren't that hungry they will beg for a can, only slurp up the gravy out of the can and leave the dessicated slices behind! then they ask for another can of "gravy".

I don't know why I bother trying to give my cat variety. He likes Whiskas. The pouches are a pain though so I often look for easier to pour food in little cans. Plus, I would think my cat would get sick of the same food day after day. My cat was OK with Purina Fancy Feast Grilled Poultry & Beef Collection Cat Food so I got him a case of this sliced food. He won't eat it. I honestly don't know why. It looks good, smells good, and has the same or nearly the same ingredients as the grilled version but Baby just walks away from it.

However, just because my cat happens to be realllllly picky doesn't mean this is a bad cat food. The ingredients are decent and the flip open cans are easy to use. They empty completely and are recyclable. My son's cat (who was the recipient of the case I bought my cat) likes it just fine. He has no digestive issues and the amount is just right for him. Most cats would probably really like this food. My cat is just being...catty.

This Fancy Feast slice turkey in gravy says it is sliced. In reality, it is in large cubes. I feed a lot of feral cats and not one of them will eat this. They lick up the gravy and leave the large chunks of whatever it is.

The headline says it all... Great product, my finicky cats love all the flavors. When one of my cats developed an allergy to all foods with poultry in the ingredients (chicken, turkey etc) I had to search extensively for a cat food that everyone would eat... I tried every big name, high dollar cat food brand on the market (from veterinarian, Pet Sm & Pet C* etc... All five cats turned their noses up to all of them and refused to eat... After finding Fancy Feast with flavors that appeared to have no poultry in the ingredients, I called Purina's corporate office and verified they were indeed poultry-free all the way down to any by-products. They have been on a Purina Fancy Feast can food diet for years now... They haven't tired of it and all are as healthy as can be (per my veterinarian, my kitties and me)...

My kitties love, love, love them some Fancy Feast. I have tried all kinds of brands but Fancy Feast, never a morsel wasted with these two kitties like they do with other brands. Fancy Feast actually looks appetizing with no nauseating smells like with other cat foods. Tiny, tender chunks of good in gravy. My furballs go nuts for Fancy Feast and they are very picky. I highly recommend all the flavors of Fancy Feast, my kitties love them all.

My cat loves beef flavored things and likes this food. She'll usually lick the gravy off first then come back and eat more. She actually tends to like the bigger chunks in this one as opposed to some of the similar smaller option ones. My only gripe is, I don't understand why this food keeps getting more expensive. I used to pay 12dollarsand change and now it's up to almost 18dollars.
