Does the job, but....

I bought this to make different colored candy apples. It does it's job, but leaves tiny white specs in the candy mixture. I've tried using it in the beginning of cooking, in the middle of cooking, and at the end. All three times it leaves specs.

THEY LIE TO YOU!

This product is a lie. It says that there are 6 ounces in here, but this is clearly a 4.5 oz bottle! Don't trick your customers like that!

If it seems weird to color white icing with white coloring, I promise you won't be sorry. I had such an issue with bleeding of dark colors and light colors onto each other until I learned the trick of coloring my icing white when first making it. Also, if you use brown vanilla extract to flavor your icing, it will make it turn a "dirty white" color, especially after it it a couple of days old. Add several drops of this into your icing and it stays bright white. Just get it.

It's a huge bottle, should last a while, not i dnt know how concentrated it is or how much I'll have to use to get the colour I want, I'll try to update my review after I've used it,

UPDATE

I used it and I'm very disappointed with the quality, this is not gel, it's more like a liquid colour, and leaves specs of white in what ever I try to colour. I love all the other colours that I got in the americolor student kit, all amazing colours and amazing consistency. But I just can't work with this 1

All Decorators Should Have This!
by Afina (5 out of 5 stars)

I know it may seem odd to have white but seriously, get it. It keeps your royal icing from turning yellow as it ages a couple of days. It also helps keep colored icings from bleeding onto your white. Anyone that has worked with reds and white for weddings or Christmas knows exactly what i am talking about. I started using this and now my favorite color combo to do is Red, White & Black. Never have a color running issue anymore.

Expired. I got a bad one
by Shayne (1 out of 5 stars)

Supposed to work as white or opaque coloring for food. I used in a gummy recipe (as I've seen many people do in plenty of videos. With the same exact product too) and with an immersion blender so it was blended as good as it would ever be. My gummies came out with white specs that sunk to the bottom of the molds... Didn't go opaque at all either. Product seems expired

Not good for coloring candy apples
by Kasha Byrd (1 out of 5 stars)

DO NOT USE THIS TO COLOR CANDY APPLES!! I tried several times and different methods to color my candy apples using this white coloring. Each and every time, my mix had white speckles in it. I tried Wiltons white coloring and no speckles were left on my apples.
