Cheap construction

This isn't the toy I remember from when I was a kid-- the wheel is cheap plastic, not metal, and it's pretty light weight-- so you can't get the wheel ripping along like I used to. My son used it for ten minutes and the wheel fell off and popped open, losing the internal magnet in the process.

I replaced the magnet and glued the parts shut, but this is a pretty cheap and lousy toy.

Great distraction for hyper people!

My husband is like a little kid. He likes to fiddle with things, the more annoying the more fun he has. I got this toy for him knowing that he would get a lot of entertainment value without driving me crazy!! Well made, no pieces and quiet. He just found my harmonica the other day and is annoying the h@#l out of me!!!

Another piece of junk from this Co.

Junk , a toss away , in the trash, forget the money I spent and go to the dollar store and get a decent one ! The magnets were so uneven so it just wobbled ,it was to small for a 5 year old . No way to fix it and not worth sending back . I will never buy from toysmith again or accept anything they wanted to give away . What ever happened to honesty and quality control ?

Did not work. Fixed it with some effort. Oy!

The quality is very low. Bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend's young child, and the thing didn't work properly when the package was opened -- the bars were out of alignment, so the wheel would go only a few inches and then stop . . . or fall off. I did a bit of bending, and then the thing worked fine. But should one really have to fix something that's new? More not-so-high-quality goods made in China! I remember getting a Wheel-O when I was a child -- it worked right out of the box.

I loved it but . .

The kids where disappointed it didn't light up, so this is mine now. I keep it in the car to hypnotize left lane blockers.

A Great Disappointment: A Piece of Garbage
by Elderbear (1 out of 5 stars)

Didn't work. It's fairly obvious, why. This is poorly constructed. It is shaped like the ones I got from Edmund Scientific as a kid, but is constructed poorly: the rails were not the proper distance apart the whole way. Yes, they could be bent to adjust them, but they need to be very close to perfectly parallel the entire length of the toy.

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE as the manufacturer used inferior design and has poor quality control.

Childhood memory

In the 1950"˜s I had one of these and it was called a Whirley Whirler. This isn't nearly as heavy duty, but I'm not quite as hard on toys since I was a child! Lots of fun to share with my grandchildren. But I want it back ;-)

Fun. . . with magnets
by G. Mosley (5 out of 5 stars)

The classic "Wheel-o" toy (although that is a brand name) of the 1960's is simple, fun, and as entertaining at sixty as at six. So long as one is not foolish enough to bend the rails, the toy keeps working for a lifetime.

Not as good as the one l had as a kid
by Robin (4 out of 5 stars)

Not as good as the one l had as a kid. The wire rails are flimsy and can be easily vented out of shape if your kid doesn't take care of it (and you know he/she won't). But it made a fantastic addition to my kids's study of magnetism.

Neato! Retro Magic Rail Twirler

Well, I love it and I bought it and a slinky at the same time and myself and my sister have decided that they are better stress reducers than pschyotherapy. Now I am off to find some silly putty, comic strips and stunt kites.
