Journalism has changed. But in many senses, it is still the same. Good journalism is about finding the truth, about being fair and balanced, about giving voice to the voiceless. It’s about checking the facts, chasing the story, writing that lede, confirming that source. The students in my Proseminar Journalism class at Harvard Extension School, the journalists of tomorrow, present you with these portraits of how journalists of today are achieving those goals in a myriad of ways. The journalists portrayed are ethnically diverse, range in age from 22 to 81, and span four continents. Their stories are a glimpse of journalism in the 21st century with all its challenges and delights.
