Product Description
This booklet was conceptualized after observing the struggles of interns during the very first few months of their residency. Either for a new medical graduate or foreign graduate, the transition to residency can often be a daunting one. The tips and advice suggested in this book initially started out as a 2-page list. With rave reviews and positive feedback from interns at our hospital, it has been expanded gradually and is now approaching to a three-digits page count. This booklet includes not only the essential components of management for majority of medical conditions that an intern encounters daily but also practical tips and advice to troubleshoot a variety of challenging situations in their daily life. The authors hope these pointers can empower new interns to approach the coming months with confidence and ever-increasing competence. In this 2019-2020 edition, several chapters were revised to reflect the latest and current guidelines. A bit more touch to the cardiovascular procedures was also implemented. The outpatient management section was incorporated into this edition by Ying Chi Yang, an internist at the University of Iowa. Revisions on inpatient management section were made by Nway Le Ko Ko, the chief resident at the University of Central Florida.
