Product Description
Arguably Germanys most brilliant military commander, Albert Kesselring (1885-1960) served in the Artillery and was awarded the Iron Cross during the First World War. In the interwar years he worked on developing the Luftwaffe and was made Field Marshal in 1940. After launching the blitzkrieg on Poland, he commanded forces in France, the Battle of Britain, Russia, North Africa and Italy. Written during imprisonment, his memoirs were first published in 1953; they are reissued with a foreword by James Holland.
