My kids (all boys) really enjoy graphic novels. This series is definitely one of our favorites! (I like reading it too :)

We love Bird's happy-go-lucky personality and Squirrel's uptight accountant personality and the way that plays out when they're out adventuring together. We love the humorous and creative storyline- it's especially nice that there's no crude stuff. (We're tired of finding out *after* we order a children's book, that the dialogue is full of annoying crude predictable humor).

We have all 4 books in the Bird & Squirrel series and my 10 year old regularly re-reads through all of them- which is saying something because he doesn't really like reading. Thank you so much James Burks! Please keep them coming! (We've pre-ordered "All Tangled Up" and my son can't wait to read it :)

This is a wonderful book for reluctant readers. The story is about a Bird and Squirrel odd couple and their miss adventures. Very cute and funny.

Our local library, book mobile, suggested this book for my son. He has a learning disability and is be low grade level for reading comprehension. This book was also above his reading level (at the time). I was sure he didn't read it at all. This series is graphic novel style. When the book was returned the librarian asked what his favorite part was. My son flipped right to the pages that was his favorite and told the woman all about what happened as well as most of the story. I was thrilled. I have bought the all 4 books. My son has read them over and over. They are still some of his favorites.

My son is a big fan of DogMan, The Bad Guys, and the Yeti Files. This went well with his reading style and sense of humor.

Fun, Quick Read w/ My 9 y/o

150 pages flew by reading this to my 9 year old son (to whole I've read to nearly ever night of his life). He said he read it in school on his own and asked me to get it on Kindle to read to him again because he loved it so much. Now, I think we'll go onto the next book in the series!

Wow! My granddaughter loved this book. We have read it over and over. I've ordered two others from his series but this one is her favorite, I think. Funny, easy reading, beautiful pictures and perfect for 41/2 year old on the cusp of reading. And not a princess in sight!

This book was amazing. I read it with my 8 year old son (this was our first experience with Bird & Squirrel) and we loved it. The story is fun and hilarious. We will definitely be buying every Bird & Squirrel book in existence.

Always looking for new books to keep 7 and 9 year old interested. I would not have purchased if I knew it was just an expensive comic book. There was less than 20 words per page - very colorful illustrations but not what I'm looking for encourage actual reading.

8 yr old son likes it and rereads it. He talks about how funny the book is and has asked for the new one in the series. That's 5 stars to me!
