Thicker than expected (maybe 80 pages or so).
Useful as first crossword for kids (~6-8 years).
Clues not written. Simply match pictures to open spaces.
Each page is a sparse grid of about 6 words (not a dense grid of dozens you might see in normal "easy crosswork" books from gas stations)
7-year old with good reading skills found this extremely easy. Will save for younger sister when the turns 6.
Short and easy

This was a very short book, only a few problems. The words are very easy. Would be good for a four year old, not much older. My daughter was about 5 when I got it for her and she finished it in about ten minutes. Definitely good for a first crossword book.
Harder than expected for a "first" crossword

Some of the words are a lot harder than a "first" crossword should be. My daughter is reading level 1, sometimes 2 and struggles with more than half of these puzzles.

My 6 year old will work on with my help. He can figure out the words with the pictures clues. But, sometimes need my help with spelling the words. We usually do 5 at one sitting then he wants to stop. He is not interested in coloring the pictures. I like it as the parent because we can go over phonics in a fun way. We also like playing Scrabble Jr together.

Didn't realize this book is very small. Not usual textbook size. Not really worth the price.
