My soon to be 7 year old son loves Angry Birds! Of course we all know if they like Angry Birds they love those stupid pigs! He is reading, however he doesn't like to! And suddenly, since he began reading, he dislikes when I read to him! In fact he hates it. I got this book in the hopes that he would enjoy it and maybe even give it a try. He opened it on Christmas and screamed with excitement "an Angry Birds book!" I got my hopes up. I waited a few days and then picked it up off the floor where it had been flung several times in the chaos that usually follows Christmas Day (even though we have a book shelf right there!). I brought it over to him and said "let's read this" he said ok and came willingly. He read each page carefully, needing help every now and then, giggling here and there until the second to last page when he looked at me and said "how many more pages mama?" (It is the longest book he's read yet with 32 pages) I told him and he finished. It was perfect for him, just challenging enough to be educational and just interesting enough to capture him. He was very proud to write his name on the inside of the front cover saying he can read it. Books like these, though silly for adults, maybe even annoying, are perfect for children who need an extra push to do it willingly. No fight to read? That's 5 stars right there. Thank you!

We gave this book as a gift. The child liked it and read it. Just as you would expect from an I Can Read level 2 book.

There is no ending. It is a cliff hanger book. This is super annoying. I will not buy the next in the series. Such a crude marketing ploy.
